Anyone getting excited about this yet?

My plan is to take Thursday and Friday off to tee off in the morning and watch the grind in the afternoon.

16-yeard old Canadian Richard Lee from BC (though he now resides in AZ) is in the field. Other Canadians are Ames, Weir, Jon Mills, and Adam Speirs.

I think the golf course will be the star this week, especially if Tiggy is not in contention.

Looks like it will be ESPN during the day (starting at 10 am), followed by NBC from the mid-afternoon.

TSN will carry it all in Canada.

So, Hi-Def for us all!

(and the forecast looks warm and sunny---perfect to bake those greens!)

Is Adam Speirs the guy that goes by 'Speirsy' on BSG? I've read that Adam Speirs is from Winnipeg, and I'm pretty sure 'Speirsy' is from Manitoba, based on previous posts.

Its amazing for a no trees no water no crazy Scottish coast weather course that just bunkers, rough and wicked greens will bring some of the best players in the world to their knees!!!

Instead of showing all Tiger all the time.. I would like to see some of the meltdowns!!! When I see the pros look human I feel much better about my game!!

Apparently the Super has to slow down the greens from 14 stimpmeter to 13.5-14 to accomodate the US Open....

'Speirsy' is the brother of Adam Speirs, he used to live in Manitoba but now resides in Australia.

Same here, Can't wait for Thursday and Friday! Only bad news is that on Saturday I have my Stag      (Only weekend everyone had off) and we are starting early so it's tough to think i will be able to watch any golf on Saturday! and depending on how i'm feeling on Sunday I may not be able to move! So here's hoping my buddies take it easy so I can watch the final round!

GO LEFTY GO!

i was watching sportscenter this morning, and they were talking about the 8th hole, a 288 yard par 3:eek:, apparently one person form the press asked phil if he would hit a 3 iron there a phil repsonded by saying "you do know this hole is 300 YARDS". this hole should be quite a challenge if some have to hit 3 woods or drivers into it.

TSN's broadband is solid! I have watched a couple events with it over the past while and it's alot better than I thought it was going to be.

The only thing TSN has to worry about is not letting Rod Black near the show! That guy needs to stick to hoarse jumping!

Ames and Weir are both in the hunt...If they don't win, I am cheering for Badds....

Also, I am not sure the winner is going to be the one who comes out and wins it. Rather, the winner is going to be the one who screws up the least. I don't know if that is the best way to select a winner of any tournament.

Other than Baddeley, Stricker, Rose, Fasth & Poulter was it just me or was EVERY OTHER PLAYER wearing a BLUE or Blue-ish shirt in Round 3 (Saturday)!? I even checked the 'gallery of photos' at Yahoo, and was amazing how many there were!

Did I miss something?

well before the tournament started i had a little bet on david toms and steve stricker ( both of them were 100/1) so i got a little interest going in the final round later on!

and as i am off to prague for a week in a few days a win would be nice :D

but i just hope they dont put the flagsticks in even more impossible positions than they have already been - 14 on the stimpmeter is just to quick for those slopes ( imo )
and lets see some good golf!

can tiger come from behind to win a major for the 1st time?

I DONT THINK SO :p

I absolutely love Angel winning...He is a smoker...never has a swing coach...10 years on European Tour and does not speak English...

I remember watching him play in 2000 at The Belfry (Benson & Hedges International) he hit the ball a MILE!!!!!

This is a big hurdle for him to overcome....always had a ton of talent but been very suspect down the stretch.....when he bogey'd 16 and 17 it didn't look promising but all credit to him down 18.
