Hey Boys (and girls).

I just got a call from my boss who was thinking about getting together an annual meeting for our company.

He was thinking we'd make it a golf tourney/company party/meeting somewhere in Niagara/Niagara-on-the-lake area.

He gave me a phone call looking for suggestions since I'm from the area, but I've never really looked into stay/play deals since I live there.

We have around 30 people in the company.

Looking for a nice hotel with a nice restaurant attached to the hotel, with a golf course near by.

I was kinda thinking Whirlpool Golf Course and then finding a hotel/restaurant somewhere in Niagara-on-the-lake, which would be pretty close.

But even if you know about some stay/play deals with Legends, Grand Niagara, Thundering Waters, etc. that would be great.

Thanks!

Hi, anything in Niagara on the lake is going to be way too expensive for that number of people. I suggest the Marriot Courtyard in Niagara Falls. It is in the heart of the tourist area, but still only 10 minutes from Legends. They have a Keg restaurant on site and are walking distance to the casino and all other Falls attractions. The rooms are reasonably priced and the on site resto. is great. Good luck with the hunt.

I wouldn't dismiss White Oaks. I stayed there once and it is an excellent facility.

Since you live in St. Kitts you may want to go over and check it out.

White Oaks offers two options for golf: Peninsula Lakes and Royal Niagara, although I see that other deals can be had at Grand Niagara, Legends, or Thundering Waters for an extra $20/person. Trouble is, none of those courses is close to the hotel.

Royal Niagara is a stone's throw away from White Oaks. Pen Lakes is a bit of a hike. I've played RN twice. First time, it seemed like a decent course. 2nd time, I thought it had gone downhill. Mind, I played it on an absolutely horrible day. Cold, rainy, and extremely windy.

That said, if the hotel and restaurant are the most important components of what your boss is looking for, with golf being a bonus, I highly recommend White Oaks.

I got a wicked deal from Royal Niagara (ask for Velizar Amoff) for my stay & play next month. He even arranged the hotel for me at the local HoJo.
