View Full Version : Back from the U.S. Open at Oakmont
ECHO

The U.S. Open was everything I thought it would be. The course was the most difficult golf course I had ever seen. I got to the course at 7am and followed Tiger for 9 holes. Tiger played with Bubba Watson and Jim Furyk.
Spent most of the day on the driving range with many of the players. Early in the afternoon, I got to spend some time in the Titleist Tour van with Steve Mata (Titleist tour rep) and "The Man", Scotty Cameron himself. Scotty was nice enough to give me a custom putter cover and autograph it for me. Scotty also posed for a few photographs with me. While in the van, some staff players were coming in and out for club adjustments. The amount of toys a tour player has access to is amazing!!! Titleist staff player, Kenneth Ferrie was with us while he was waiting for his clubs to get adjusted. After that, Bob Vokey walked in to adjust a player's grind. The Titleist guys were absolutely a blast to hang out with.
After that, it was on to the Callaway trailer. As soon as we walked in, Roger Cleveland was adjusting somebody's clubs. He was nice enough to give me a tour of the trailer. Once again, you would not believe the amount of toys the players have access to.
Going to the U.S. Open on a practice day was the most amazing day, the players were more laid back and being a major, they were all there.
I would recommend going on practice days for tournaments, because that is when you truly get to see all the players.
Private message me if you are interested in seeing the photos.
This is Scotty and me after he gave me a custom cover, he autographed it.

WOW Echo, what an experience. I too enjoy the practice round more than the regular tournament.
Just curious, how did you get an invite inside the ropes of the various tour vans?

Wow Super envious! Curious what kind of connection one would need to be able to sample the type of experiences you had detailed here. Reason I ask is I plan to go to Angus for during the practice rounds for this year's open. Can't imagine I would be able to take a picture with SC.

Don't keep us waiting man. This is your thread. Are you going to answer the questions asked in the
other posts like how you got the opportunity to be inside the ropes? Look forward to your response.

To all those people who would like to question if the pictures are fake (my best friend and Roger Cleveland) I added a second photo, Mr. Cleveland is on the phone in the background, with my friend in the Callaway Van.

These pics have got to be the WORST attempt at Photoshop I have ever seen in my life. You need help, not to mention a few more courses in how to fake photo's a little better. I'd suggest taking them down before you make yourself look even more foolish than you already do.
Unreal man......

This I must see! to all the "nuts" playing in the King's Forest Event please let me know how the Tour Pro plays.... because I did not see him at the U.S. open

Dude...you got called out on OGF for doing the same damn thing last year, and your fake photo's listed in this thread are proof of that.
It's doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the majority of your pics are doctored....and I'd bet that most on here that know a thing or 2 about photo shop (one has already called you out), would agree that you are trying to pass off fake photo's:
Take a look at:
Mr. Vokey
My best friend and Roger Cleveland
My best friend in the tour van
You and Gulbis
Pretty easy to pic out that the photo's have been slid in....the color matching and shadowing are purely amateur. And if the AREN'T fake, why you afraid to show your face eh?

Dude, if the picture of you and Creamer is real, you should really get yourself to a doctor because your head is about 5 times bigger that hers. I'm no photoshop expert but come on - do you really think people here are stupid enough to fall for your fakes?
Also, btw, the term "Tour Pro" under racmbs' user ID has to do with the number of posts he has - not his golfing ability. If you knew anything about this forum, you'd know that. However, keeping on that topic (since you brought it up), why don't you come out to King's Forest on Saturday and join us. My money's on Scott to beat you straight up!
You won't be able to photoshop your scorecard ECHO!

Guys... you think it is fake... it is fake.... but whoever would like to see a the photos without a flower just let me know.... cause I went to the U.S. Open and I don't think any of the people who are questioning the pics went to Oakmont. I guess talking about it on a message board is just like going... I guess. Playing you guys in golf.... why waste my time... I win or you win... I will still be the only person that got to do all that stuff and you will still be "pros" on Toronto Golf Nuts. And lefty if I ever need a deck, I will PM you. If you ever want to see a tour event from inside the ropes, I hear you can be a Monday Qualifier. Good Luck with that.
racmbs and lefty I told you post your email and you will have the pics...
Have either of you guys even been to a pga tour event???
Echo
P.S. I don't think your golf games could even get you on the range at a tour stop... but King's Forest... man you guys are good. Keep it on the short grass!

Actually....I've been to several PGA Tour events, have had DINNER with Roger Cleveland, Bob Vokey, Scotty Cameron and a host of others....flown to California for 2 weeks at 2 different times to visit Callaway Golf, Titleist, Taylor Made.....had dinner with Benoit Vincent, Sean Taylor and Mark King.
But ya want to know something......ALL the pictures, and people I have from eating dinner and sitting through seminars with them and visiting the Tour Vans, Kingdome...CPASS facility.
ARE ALL REAL
Get a grip on reality bud.....your pics are doctored, there is no denying it and it's as plain as day for ANYONE that uses Photoshop. Do yourself a favor.....post some real pics of you and your buddy at the US Open, standing behind the ropes WISHING you had an all-access pass.
Some people's kids man....even adults need attention these days.
P.S. I don't think your golf games could even get you on the range at a tour stop... but King's Forest... man you guys are good. Keep it on the short grass!
You are right....but if I ever need someone to Photoshop me into the background on the range at a PGA Tour Event, hitting balls next to Tiger Woods or John Daly, at least I know I can give you a call.
Echo, HOW MANY TIMES do we have to ask HOW YOU GOT INSIDE THE ROPES?
Photoshop CS3.....I can get it for $400 with my discount if you'd like.

This is getting ridiculous and malicious.
racmbs has proved himself around here to be a good guy and I for one, don't need any proof more than his word (as I'm sure many other people can attest to as well).
I'd be content to see this shut down for ECHO's benefit if anyone's.
It's already gotten out of hand.
BTW, if you're concerned that there is nothing to gain from a friendly game on the course ECHO, why don't you put up "your" signed Scotty Cameron headcover against something. It seems to me to be a way to confirm at least that pic was real.

I would personally like some clarification of what constitutes a "personal attack".
Though I agree with racmbs here, some of his posts are clearly attacking ECHO. Just wondering why his posts haven't been deleted and who is responsible for making the calls. I mean, if you are a mod, does it give you the green light to go off on people (justified or not)?

How am I personally attacking him? I'm merely pointing out the truth, and his photo's prove my reason for questioning the authenticity of his pictures. If I was flat out calling the guy a jerk or an @ss, then I could see why you would expect them to delete my post and would have to agree with you that it would be uncalled for. It's funny now how the only picture I didn't mention that potentially could be a real one, is the only one left up to view.
But lord love a duck man.....this guy is trying to pass off fake/doctored photo's as if they were his own and the guy is SO out of touch with reality, that he's even convinced himself they are real!
Either way we slice it....close the thread as it's pointless trying to convince this guy to just come clean.

It is at the mod's discretion as to what constitutes a personal attack (I'm assuming). I think attention needs to be made to where harse words were placed. racmbs seems to be commenting on ECHO's actions by and large - which in my opinion is fair game as ECHO initiated any of the actions that are being responded to. ECHO's comments seem to be directed more towards character rather than anything else.

I think that is pretty personal, calling someone a clown. But I disgress...I don't want to make it out like I am actually defending the guy.
I just needed clarification because someone dear to me was banned for personal attacks :D
