I am planning in spending a golfing week with three friends in Aug in the Horseshoe resort area. I am looking for suggestions on good econimical courses that we could play. Planning on playing 36 holes every day so need to save some coin!! any help would be appreciated!!

I am sure there are quite a few threads about this. Why not do a search?:)

Settler's Ghost is a pretty good value for the price. Horseshoe is okay - not wow great but decent. I've never played Tangle Creek but it looks half decent as well.
Don't bother with Bonaire unless you're really tight for money.

Check out Batteaux Creek, Just south of Collingwood. Great walking course in immaculate condition. Choice of slope from 126 to 141.

I have played Tangle Creek numerous times. Good golf course. Tough greens to putt - very undulating. They have good rates for twilight etc. Good course to check out. Another hidden gem is Harbour view.

Hawkridge has an amazing twilight rate with carts for something like $50 after 2 or 3 pm.
I hear Heritage Hills is decent too. Horseshoe is way over priced. Tangle is a nice course but has some stupid long carry holes depending on which tees you play.

Settlers is probably one of my favorite. Tangle is ok, but the greens make it a little stupid.
If you want to go 30minutes south, Woodington Lakes is there. 30 minutes north, you have Hawkridge, Midland G&CC, or the other one in midland. Also Club link National Pines, which is nice. There is also a pretty nice course but I have not played it. It is on the base...called Circle pines I think. I hear it is nice.

I assume that the two Hoseshoe courses are out of your price raneg?
Hawk Ridge
Simoro ( not great but ok)
Settlers
Tangle Creek
Bradford Highlands
midland and brooklea would make a nice 36 hole day and just a bit north of you
Monterra and Batteaux would be a bit of a drive I think more towards collingwood

Not if you were to use LMG!
...also Heritage Hills is a nice new track just north of Barrie, also on LMG. :)
