Just came back from a 5 day trip, played 4 courses, all were great but my favorite was Elkridge. Stayed at Otsego resort, treated us well, great scenary. Most of the courses double as downhill skying so you can imagine the elevations. Anyway had a great time and half the cost of Collingwood, where we normally go.

Michigan is one of the best kept secrets in golf. Awesome courses, and many of them take Canadian $ at par. Beautiful country there! Once you get out of Detroit Michigan is a very nice state. I agree as well it is a much nicer trip than to over priced Collingwood.

How much did you pay for the trip? I am planning a trip to Garland in the fall, just wondering what you payed at Otsego.

Went to Boyne for the third year in a row. 5 days of unlimited golf in May... awesome...

Played 9 different courses, all highly recommended.

Michigan is a great place to go...

I was up at Gaylord the week following May 2-4 and loved it. I've been meaning to post my photos. We stayed at Marsh Ridge and played at Otsego. 7 rounds in 4 days.

Also played Tree Tops which was a lot of fun!!!

Assuming you drive, which route do you take (via Sault Ste. Marie or via Detroit), and approx. how long a drive?

best to go through sarnia and up to gaylord. About 6 1/2 hours. Yeah thats the big bucks. Thats about all there is to do in that town. Traverse City is about an hour and 1/2 away and thats a beautiful city if you want to make the trek. If you do make sure to go to Sleeping Bear Dunes its really great and take a drive up the peninsula, thats also realy beautiful with lots of cherry farms and a few beautiful wineries.
