Anyone know who does good lessons in the downtown Toronto area? After 2 years I still can't break 110, so I think it's time to get professional help:)

I guess it depends on your budget. I've looked around some and there are places that gives Lessons. GT offers them and it's inside GT with all the tools that you might need. However, that would be more pricey then the rest.
I myself is looking into getting some lessons but in the Scarborough area. I found this place www.garykentgolf.com (http://www.garykentgolf.com) and actually met the guy. He seem's personable and know his stuff. I will be signing up for a one on one and take it from there. His rates seems to be reasonable if not the cheapest around.
BTW, I bought my 9yr old daughter her golf clubs and started her on the free lesson the City was offering this month, will also sign her up for some lesson at that place.

I believe this is about the third thread about lessons downtown.
I would recommend Toronto Golf School, it run by a guy named Brian and he has taught a few people I know and done a pretty good job of it. It is at the bottom of an office building at Bay and Adelaide I believe. Check the older threads and I think there is a weblink and/or number.
Also my other bud works with Ken Varty who is at the Docks now. He has dropped over ten strokes from his handicap with Ken and highly recommends him.
Good luck.

yes gary does the teaching.
i think he is the best i have used, and let me tell you theres been many. he has a hut just out side the mats where you hit so you both can go in and see your shot on video that he records as you hit. any given time that ive been for a lesson we would go in and he would diesect your swing and show you what you problem is (4 times per lesson) i found this very effective.
give him a call, he's very down to earth

I'd also suggest checking out my teacher's website. www.paradisegolfinstruction.com. Lionel really helped me out with getting under the 90 mark, something I wasn't able to do on my own. He's really personable and also contributes a lot of tips on this forum under the name "goshawk". I know he won't advertise himself (forum rules), but he's really good.
