What are your thoughts on the lastest pro-tiger ruling.

On #10 his ball landed in th nest of TV cables and the official called it an "immovable object", thus allowing Tiger a drop giving him an excellent lie instead of the poor one he would have had if they were deemed a moveable (which they have always been in the past) and moved the cables instead of a drop one club length away.

Tiger said "I was just following the officials instructions"

The official later comment he made an incorrect ruling!

Tiger's played enough golf to no the ruling was incorrect.

I would agree he seems to get prefered treatment. But lately he has looked like an "ordinary" golfer on the PGA Tour.

Since the ruling was favourable, Tiger of course said nothing. I am pretty sure that if the ruling was not in his favour, he would have likely asked for another ruling by someone else (assuming that he could appeal the original ruling).

Tiger's competitiveness seems to have overrun his good judgement. He knows the rules and should not have been given this opportunity. But then again, he once had a boulder moved in the desert just so that he could play a decent shot. So I guess I'm not surprised that this happened.
