hmmm...I think I lost about 6 balls at Woodington Lake earlier this year, it was my worst round of the season so far...funny thing is, I'm playing there this Sunday...hopefully, I'll have a better day!

When I first started out last season, there were probably a couple rounds I lost 11-12 balls....

I know the thread's about most balls lost, but I thought I'd share my amazing experience.
A few weeks back, I teed-off at 7:30 or something at Parkview Upper. It started off foggy with only a 100 yard visibility which was bad enough. By the time we holed out at #2, we couldn't see 20 yards due to the thickening fog. The fog finally lifted when we turned the corner onto the back nine.
So the amazing part ... I played one ball until the ninth hole! Of course, as soon as we could see what we were doing, I lost one. I lost a total of 2 balls which is a good round for me.
I'll tell ya, it was surreal. You couldn't aim, you sort of aligned to where you thought the target was. You couldn't judge the distance required at all. And you couldn't see where the ball went at all. You were relying on pure feel. While it was neat, I never want to play like that again!!

that's a great story malarky. my stories where i hit into unknown/unseen territory end up with me discovering the new frontier. sometimes, it actually helps me when i don't know where the target is

yup. can't be afraid of what you can't see LOL.
While we always think of our ancestors who pioneered their way through new frontiers as brave, maybe they just couldnt see where they were going.

The most balls I've ever lost was 12 balls at lyndhurst. Definitely had a really bad day! I guess usually I don't lose as much because the guys I play with have sharp eyes and can usually find my balls
