They started yesterday. I think from what I saw, lots of as is putters, some Ben Hogen, lots of different brands of hybrids for cheap. Can't remember, I had a mental lapse since I felt like a kid in a candy store.

LOL...I got a way to keep you away! How about when I bought it at $128, there was 2 in LH left and NONE left when I was there yesterday. (The only reason why I knew it went on sale was because they had the sale tag on)
Your welcome! ;)

Yes, the location at Kennedy Commons has their shoes on sale. I don't recall prices, as I wasn't looking for shoes - they had a good deal on Callaway shoes as I recall.

Since I'm soooo on the cutting edge of equipment (yeah right), I picked up a Callaway Big Bertha (2004) 3 Wood. It was on sale for $100.00, down from $198.00. I also just signed up for the leaderboard and got that $10.00 gift certificate, so it was a wopping $90.00 for the 3 wood. Excellent clearance deal!

I've got a couple Taylor Made fairway woods with alignment marks out near the toe, if you are in the market...seeing as you love your Exotics that much. :D

Was at the Mississauga location today. Didn't see anything that was a great deal. Golftown always has good sales on, just seemed like a regular day. As far as putters go, I think the best deal is Never Compromise gray matter for $78, in four putter styles.

not much special at the King St. store. Picked up a shirt for 40% off. Had some TM and Never Comp putters on sale, and the Nike Sumo2 for $278.

was at Ancaster... some decent clothing was on sale (40% off NIke, Boss, etc.) ... but nothing else that was overly tempting that caused any impulse purchases.

I went to Markham and Scarborough store. There were quite a few good deals such as:
Nike Sumo2: $275
Cleveland Comp 460 driver: $150
Cleveland Ti 460 driver : $150
Cleveland Comp Fairway: $125
Taylormade V-Steel: $50
Taylormade Rescue Mid: $50
Yonex 400 Series driver: $100
Mizuno Fli-Hi $75
Hogan CFT Hybrid: $50
Titleist 690cb: $400
Titleist 503h: $100

Are these deals store-specific? I specifically checked out the 690cb at Ancaster because I was thinking about purchasing it and it was still regular priced. They did have a set of Mizuno MX100 for $1000 (including display case).

Not sure but I saw them at Scarborough GT. You might be able to get the guys at other GT to call Scarborough GT and do a price match.

It's very store specific for selection. Y'day, I was at the Heartland location looking for a light carry bag and the Titleist 503 in a 19 degree loft on the cheap. They had no decent carry bags and only 22 degrees on the Titleist (but probably about six of those).
This morning I checked out the First Markham Place location and they had no 503's in RH, only two LH in 22 degrees, and nothing attractive for cheap on the bag front (except for a Titleist cart bag that I paid $250 for last year for only $100, only it was in an odd blue colour). I had a guy there check if any other locations had a 19 degree 503; he did, and there was nothing in Ontario, according to him.
Well...I happened to pass by the Oakville (Dundas St.) GT later today, and found the perfect Ping carrying bag for $48 (they had three or four colours, all very nice, although I went for black), AND they had two 19 degree 503's left in graphite and steel. $100.
The corollary of this post is that you have to shop around even within the same chain in order to find the best deals. I certainly didn't see any Ping bags for $48 in the King Street (T.O.) location, Markham, or Mississauga location, and their inventory system didn't pick up that they had the hybrid that I wanted in any of their stores.

Wow, I am sure you had to go to all those cities anyhow coz if you didn't, I am not sure if you saved enough money to pay for gas!

Downtown (King W) has nothing I'd bother to report. I didn't look through the bags, but the clubs/clothing were mediocre deals (if deals at all...most of the things on sale were already so).

Nothing great in the Whitby store either. They had some nice looking Callaway shoes, but only in the smaller sizes. Nothing over 9.5. The only clubs on sale were the ones mentioned in previous posts. Didn't seem like there were any in store specials.
It seems as though the other stores (i.e. Markham ) always have better deals in my experiences though.

Went to the Woodbridge GT to look for a graphite shaft 3 wood. Thought the deal they had on the older Cleveland model was pretty good ($125). Only problem was that they only had 5W left. Anyone know if there is another store with some 3W available (stiff shaft - right handed)??

They should be able to look it up on their computer. They've checked other stores for me before.

yep, though I think their new policy is to make you pay for it in advance....but you can always do a return...

They normally do transfer stock to other locations but I heard they are not doing it for stuff on clearance sale. You can always call them to find out.

There are deals on shoes in the super clearance sections where they may only have one or two pairs left, of varying sizes. You can maybe luck on that.

In addition to many of the clubs mentioned, I saw Ram wedges on sale at my local Golftown for $20. . . .not that the lower end wedges would interest anyone.

Golf Town downtown Toronto has 50% off select baseball style hats (in the back nears the golf bags).
I picked up a Oakley hat for $7.50 and a Mizuno hat for $12.50.
They also had Dunning, ugly Titleist, Tommy Bahama, Wilson hats.
I picked up a Nickent 3 hybrid for a friend with stock shaft...$68. Sale priced, not clearance. They still have a 4 hybrid at that location. Its $130 or so with upgraded shaft.

This seems to be the "Clearance Price"....I just got back from the US, and they were priced at $59.99 there.

What I meant to say was that price isnt part of the clearance sale. It was already on sale at that price. Clearance stuff has a yellow sign and sale stuff has a red sign.
Doesn't really matter except for those with the Mike Weir credit card. You can save an additional 5% off of regular and sale priced merchandise, but not on clearance priced stuff. Like I was able to save another 5% on the hybrid, but not on the hats.

I think it's a bit of both, though. They're also on sale here at my local GT for $68, but when I asked the sales guy how long they'd be going for that price, he said, "Till they're gone." I guess that sale price also means clearance price. Good for the rest of us. :D
Slightly related, when he told me that, I asked him to put a #5 on hold for me for a couple of days. The next day when I got home I saw GTs phone number on my call display and figured "I'll bet they're calling me because they want to sell it to someone else." So I rushed down to go buy the club. When I got there the salesman who put it on hold for me told me he sold it to someone else and began apologizing profusely. I told him it was too bad, because I really liked the club and came to buy it. Still apologetic, he asked me if I'd like another hybrid--like a BB Heavenwood; he'd move on the price. I kinda shook my head and sheepishly said, "But I like the feel of the Nickents. It's too bad you don't have anymore of those ones I had on hold." So that afternoon I walked out of GT with a Nickent 3DX DC Ironwood w/UST Proforce shaft for $91.
Thanks Golftown! :D
