My manager wants to take the client out to a golf course on a Monday morning relatively close to GTA (within 30 mins of Yonge and Steeles). The budget is max $100 per person including cart. Whats the best course that meets the above criteria:

max cost: 100 per person including cart
Date: Monday morning (8:00am)
Distance: within 30 - 40 mins of Yonge and Steeles.

Thanks in advance!

Take the client to Piper's Heath - green fee is $79. They also have an early bird Mon-Thu special of $50 before 8am - Your manager can save some money and probably take you along for the ride. Might even give you a raise for being cost conscious.

Everyone loves playing a new course and brag to their buddies about it.

Ok I've been doing some additional research based on the comments in this thread and searching TGN. Here are my options.

1) Royal Woodbine
2) Ballantrae Golf Club
3) St. Andrews Valley
4) Piper's Heath

All these are within the price range for a Monday morning. If you had the choice of any of these 4 which one would it be. Thanks!!!

Hmmm: Wonder if I can make this a poll??

Go to Braeben! - definitely within your budget, solid solid course in great shape and not that far anyway either....can't go wrong with Ballantrae as well - a little further and a little more $$...Piper's Heath sounds nice but haven't played it so can't comment. Bottom line - can't go wrong with any of the above.

I would say Ballantrae

I play there alot and it is in great shape, a nice setting, good layout that is fair for every skill level.

St Andrews is too tough for the average golfer as is Royal Woodbine...although I like both courses

Don valley, such a fun course. Its very short, only 6100 from the tips but loads of fun. Lots of birdies and eagles opportunities if you can drive it over 270
and keep it in play ;)

Ballantrae for sure.

Ballantrae is choice #1...course is playable for all levels and after the round you can have a lunch in the clubhouse...35 minutes from Yonge and Steeles.

Richmond Hill...shorter course but has some interesting holes...10 minutes away...good clubhouse...#18 is an excellent finishing hole.
