Batteaux creek is a great course. Just south of Collingwood.

Yeah, I'd drop Monterra for Cobble or Batteux

Osprey Valley is on the way to Collingwood from Mississauga.

You can pretty well guarantee a quick round there.

You are not missing much by not playing Monterra. Cobble Beach is a good bet($60 after 4pm), Duntroon Highlands is not too far and relatively cheap.

It's been a few years but we used to go up ad play Cranberry and Monterra, and I always liked Cranberry.

It's not too bad...I think they changed the name this year to something like "Atopka"

I would keep asking Lora Bay once in a while if anything opens up.. since they have to reserve alot of tee times for the members.. maybe closer to the date some times might open up.

I disagree on both counts. Just got back from Collingwood and Monterra was fabulous. What a beautiful course. Very challending compared to most course with their dunes bunkers and tight pin placements. Forces you to play a very accurate game.

Duntroon highlands is a dump of a course. It's like the place is astroturf on top of cement. The greens roll like a cement floor. Your carry on shots is just stupid long cuz they just bounce and roll forever. Really regret playing there.

Also played Cranberry and it was nice.

You like Monterra, I don't. I didn't say Duntroon was the best course around I just said it was close and cheap.

well we played Batteaux Creek on Saturday and all I can say is wow!

Despite it being 8 deg when we teed off, with a good wind and some sideways rain, I would have to say that this course is an absolute treat to play. The weather got better about the 7th hole and it turned out to be a pretty decent day from there on it.

What a fantastic course in terms of layout, service and conditioning. The greens were probably the best I have played all year. Fairways were immaculate. A good mix of open and tree lined holes.

The course is challenging but extremely fair. Lots of room off the tee for the most part but it payed to be on the right side of the fairways for approach shots. It's also interesting how they made a flat piece of land look otherwise, with lots of mounding and framing of holes.

Staff were extremely friendly and the marshall even went and got our beer when we left it on the beer cart! Oh, and speaking of the beer cart, we saw her no less the 6 times throughout the round. We even ran into her at Windy O'Neils (pub at Blue) on Sat night!

Would defintely recommend. They also have a deal Mon/Tues I think for $99 total for golf / cart / lunch! Can't beat that!
