The title pretty much says it all

This will be my first time playing Eagles Nest and I am really looking forward to it.

If anyone has some pointers, it would be much appreciated, cheers!

keep it out of the fescue.

I'm sure you'll have lots of fun.

Keep it in the fairway and try not to get frustrated by the greens. Good putts don't always go in at the nest....;) Beautiful course, you should enjoy it. Try one of their gourmet hot dogs at the halfway house, best 8 dollar hot dog ever!

Visualize every shot before you hit it.

Aim for and play to a target.

Don't aim by staying away from the trouble. Once you have planned your target and visualized the shot, block out all trouble from your thinking.

Oh, and bring a lot of balls.

Congrat's, very nice track, I did fine I used iron a lot off the tee, I found I could get better position off the tee with iron. I played I think it was from 6700yd tees, the first hole you need to bang it over the bunkers and there is a bunker 100 yds or so in the middle of the fairway, depends on what tees you play, be careful with the driver because the fescue will eat you up, it's a great test of how you think on the course, I just found you don't need to bang a driver every time, a 5 wood, long iron and some holes you will need the big stick, take a good look at the hole setup before you grag the big stick, have fun.

Thanks for the tips. I tee off at a 12:30 and it looks like it is going to be a gorgeous day :D

My problem with challenging courses is that I don't always play it smart i.e. 9 x's out of 10 , out comes the driver !!

so, avoid the fescue, play it smart, visualize each shot and be the ball.....da da da da da da da da...... de de de de de de de....... (sorry I'm a caddyshack fan) :D

Played it on Sunday, FANTASTIC shape considering the weather/other courses (better be at the prices they charge!!), then played King Valley in the afternoon, great course, but fairways were quite dry/firm, and they're just up the road a bit. I guess the "no watering the lawn rule in Aurora" has had it's effect on golf courses too!!??
