Bloomington Downs in Richmond Hill is an awesome golf couse for beginners to intermediate players
Big thing Ilook for in a golf course is whether I'll lose my ball or not....
Bloomington downs is great for this...
Its difficult to lose your ball because the land is pure flat..and the grass is short...can see your ball miles away ..unless you hit it into the bush..(haha).

Although it is a very loonnng course... its tiring.. average par is 4 but you have your par 3 and 5 here and there... if your gonna do the 18 hold...i definately recommend getting one of those golf car things... or i guess a pull cart if your brave. I did the 9 hole with a pull cart...was still a little tired in the end (but i'm short...more work for my legs).

I only went there two times..but those two times...we weren't doing as great.. and still there wasn't anyone there to rush us.. that was great. I hate it when a stupid old man drives by and rushes us. That didn't happen in Bloomington downs.

Thats it... have fun!!!:hyper:

Hi Shortgolf, welcome to the forum!!!

anyways, I've never played on the course there, but I've been to the driving range at Bloomington Downs and the price is fair. $9 for a large bucket of balls and you get to hit from mats or grass. They also have 2 putting greens for you to practice on, 1 where it's undulating and one where it's flat. Also, they have a sandtrap for you to hit from and also an area for pitching and putting!

Bloomington Downs definitely is a good course for golfers who just want recreational play...it's better than play an executive course, but also less difficult than the avg normal golf course....

only thing that probably irks me about Bloomington is the price....for that price I can play a much better course.....

but it's also great for players who only want to play 9 holes....they give you that option...:)
