Looking for more information on Blue Springs clublink members! I live in Oakville and its one of the only reasonably priced Clublink course around!
1. Any idea on how many members?
2. What's the conditioning like this year? Are the greens quick?
3. Is the course walkable? I've heard that its a tough walk
4. I noticed they have a ton of excess land (110 acres) and I know the new Owner/CEO its probably going to try and develop on as much land as possible...do you see this course getting surounded by houses within the next 5-10 years? Any rumblings?

1. Any idea on how many members? nope
2. What's the conditioning like this year? Are the greens quick? average to quick
3. Is the course walkable? I've heard that its a tough walk better to hire a sherpa

Any rumblings? It seems that houses are already being built around the course but I would not fret they are estate like homes kinda like the bluffs development in Burlington as a former Oakvillian I can assure you that they are up to snuff!!
Great views !! One of my fav and I think more underated CL course

Although the walk is hard, I do not think its that bad. There are just two or three long walks otherwise, in terms of the overall walk, it isn't much worse than any other course (except for those flat courses like Station). If you think this is tough, try walking the muskoka courses (i.e. lake joe and grandview) now those are what I call tough.

I beleive the membership is low, it emptied out quite a bit when GlenCairn opened.
I walk 200 rounds a year at all the Clublinks- I can assure you with the exception of Grandview- it is a miserable walk. If your 20 years old max! and physically fit, you might find it walkable
The conditions are excellent, and usually are above average.:)

1) Member count is low, but guest play is relatively high. Overall it's not too busy
2) Conditions are ALWAYS excellent. Greens are true and above average speed.
3) One of the tougher courses to walk, no question. However it's also one of the most scenic courses in the GTA. Especially with the fall colors.
4) Tough to say what role Clublink will have in the residential development surrounding the course. Existing houses don't really affect the golf experience at the moment. The Acton area is definitely starting to increase development though.
Great course, if you don't mind the walk or take a cart.

Blue Springs is a great course. For Toronto people its a bit of a hike and that limits membership. Unlike the more expensive courses you get many members who pay out of their own pocket, so they are there for the golf. The clubhouse staff and the marshalls are probably the best in the CLubLink world, although some of the other courses have improved.
I always walk the course and there are a few spots where you have to be fit. I estimate that close to 40% of members walk the course. Interestingly, I find that the other 50 crowd tends to walk more than the younger set.
