I've been invited to play there on tuesday. What can you tell me about this place?

Was one of my favorite courses in CL; the old eighteen was such a classic layout with tough demanding holes and country club feel. The new 27 hole are intertwined with old courses which has changed the feel and the homes around it. Not a fan of the new nine; hope you play Parkland and Valley which is the old eighteen with few new holes and layout changes on the Parkland nine. In terms of the course it tough, demanding tee shots, fairway on the old courses lined with tree lines, fast greens and great second shots are required. Nice finishing hole which is #9 on the Parkland. It’s still nice track. Have FUN :)

I'm not the biggest fan of the course. You do need a few long approach shots in your bag on par 4's. A smart tee short is an iron on a few holes leaving another longish iron into the green. So be prepared to hit 3 or 4 iron (or hybrid) into the green on a few holes. I didn't find it terribly difficult aside from that. There is usually a safe out on every green regardless of pin positions and I took it almost every hole. It kept me out of trouble. There are alot of reachable par 5's depending on what tees you're playing. Not a terrible amount of risk and plenty of reward ;).

I thought it was Forest and Parkland as the old 18 and Valley as the new 9. I could be wrong but Forest sure feels older than Valley.
I've played there three times this year, all three times on Forest and Valley. Forest is tight and tree-lined. Valley is open and links style.
Greens are in rough shape on Forest. They were hit with some sort of disease that killed large portions of the grass.
No real secrets to scoring here - just keep it out of the trees. The course does demand an accurate approach shot. You do need to pay careful attention to the contouring around the greens. You want to hit it towards the side that slopes towards the green and not vice versa. There are some holes where if you miss the green just by a little bit on the wrong side, the ball bounces into trees.

Tough par 3's.... I liked the course when I played.... Typical upper end CL course.... No real surprises as to emenities and good practice facilities....

Well I have to say I really enjoyed the course. We played Forest and Parkland. The finnishing hole on Forest was quite nice. Lipped out a birdie putt there.
