Some opinions on my second time playing there.

Cranberry Saturday August 25 12:30pm tee off.

Had a 2 for 1 coupon that expired in 2006 but was up front about it and it was accepted over the phone. Nice gesture by them.

Weekend rate with cart $107 divided by 2= $53.50

Warm welcome, clean and modest facilities and positive customer service. Teed off on time. Many twosomes ahead but went around in 4.5 hours. 2 holes of drizzle but mostly overcast. Wisely the development of homes is not too much in your face which allows you to hit the ball without feeling your in a sub-division like many resort courses. A liitle damp from previous rain. Cart paths only. All in all a well kept course and nice golf experience. Greens were a little slow. Visually beautiful with a variety of wildlife, vegetation and water. Fair and challenging pin placements. Good length from the blues which allowed the use of driver on most par 4's. Par 5's heavily bunkered but reachable with 2 bombs.

Negatives
Very limited BBQ menu at the back of number 9.
Similarity of holes.
A once great range was overgrown and not available. No range.

My playing partner and I felt it was similar to Silver Lakes but not as well conditioned.

Recommended if you can get a rate break but maybe not worth the 2 hour drive unless you're already in the area. A enjoyable day on the course with no hassles or attitude.

thanks for the posting - was looking at maybe doing a guys weekend there next year - would you recommend cranberry for that? no range is a real stinker - is it gone permanently?
