Trying to put together an executive outing/team building for the company...

Have played Taboo but not Muskoka Bay.

Would like to hear your opinion as to which one is 'better'.

Look forward to hearing your comments....Thanks in advance....

I have not played Taboo...but have MB...it was fantastic !

a number of friends of mine who have played both all prefer MB to Taboo ...that relates only to the course and not the other things like accomodations , etc

I played both courses this year and while I love both of them - if I had the chance to play just one I would probably pick MB. Although the conditions at Taboo last week were incredible.

The service at Taboo is top notch and I have never had an issue there. They have actually gone out of their way to make my round more enjoyable.

MB is a little bit cheaper but they are within 10 minutes of one another.

Here you go...play an early round at one and then an afternoon round at the other....its only money! LOL:rofl:

Thanks for the feedback.....I think I got the gist of it...

What I am proposing to do is to organize an golf-overnight stay-conference package at Taboo and organize a side trip to Muskoka Bay for the golf-inclined either before or after the conference.

They are close enough to each other to be able to pull that off. I love both courses and I think Taboo is a little cheaper to play if you are staying at the resort.

I google mapped the two addresses and the distance is 9.5 KM....10-20 min driving distance...Should be fine, I reckon....

I have played both and I like them both.
Obviously MB does not have the facilities to accomodate your meeting as yet.

I think Taboo has a lot a good holes. Although several par 3's play the same.

But MB is slightly better. A couple of super golf holes like the par 3 second and the wild fairway of the par 4 15th. Very large fast greens that really make you consider your second shot, try making par from above the hole on #4.
Frankly, I played the wrong tees the day I was there, and the difference in the holes from the blues to the golds is significant. Several holes play wildly different like #6. Not sure how it plays from blue, although it looks intimidating. But from the golds, it's a very difficult tee shot to a receptive redan green. A case of not aiming at the pin unless you can hit a perfect shot.
The craziest greens I have seen from Carrick, and the course is better for it.
Enjoy

taboo is an awesome resort (make sure you stay for dinner there!) - MB is an awesome course. (taboo is a great course but MB is better)
