I bought a dozen of those Balata's, played Deer Creek South and on the 4th hole (island green) i pulled out a Balata ball. Duffed the ball to the water!!!! I blame the ball!!! ya thats it, its the ball! hehe.

Seriously the Balata's felt decent, Im no expert to know much about the difference but ball feels good and solid on contact. For $9.99 cant go wrong.

On the same note, I also got these Intech Balls for $11.99. It said no max distance and they are non USGA conforming. I used these and did not see/feel much difference. Anyone know anything about them?

next time buy the intech lo compression balls. You'll find they are one of the best balls out there for the average golfer.

Where can you normally find those? I didnt notice them when I got the intech ones at Canadian Tire. I remember seeing some more intech at Wal Mart tho, might check that place out.

There must be some gigantic warehouse full of these Z-Balatas. I bought 10 dozen two seasons ago at Nationa Sports for $9.99. I figured I should stock up at the time but I see the same balls, time and time again at various stores.

They are decent balls. Prefer the Noodles at $12-15 street price.

Af Golf Town we sell the SD Balata every day for $14.95. The Z Balata is comparable but both are LOUSY balls. Mushy and very short.

i picked up a doz. yesterday.

i question if it is ethical for CT to advertise their regular price as $29.99.
Didn't Sears get fined a few years back for artificially stating their reg. prices to make their 'sale' prices look more attractive.
