Anyone else find it annoying that for each hole, you wear your glove at the tee and on the fairway, but when you get to the green, you take it off coz it gets stuffy and you don't want a farmer's tan?
anyone have a different or better routine?
Just something I've always noticed but didn't really think much about until QB was asking about how to store and keep her gloves in good condition.

Sorry Em,
Can't think of a way for you to avoid a farmer's tan besides tons of sunblock. Wearing a glove is part of the game. Its your choice if you want to wear one or not. Another way is to take off your glove right after you hit and put it on again for your next shot and so on. Its a nuisence but its the only way. But if you're going to play golf or do anything outdoors then you have to expect you're going to get a bad tan line somewhere on your body. Just live with it and be happy.

You could always play with no glove. It's not required, unless you have really slick hands. I think most people wear a glove, but after a while it's done cuz it's part of the routine more than anything.
Freddie Couples hasn't played with a glove for a long time.
I have never played without a glove, ever. I can't even hit balls at the range without a glove, LOL.

Hearing everyone here, I am going to try something next season, try to reduce the amount of shots i take with a glove on.
Here's my logic:
I think that if your score is lower (less strokes) than you have less chance of getting blisters on your hand, so as long as I keep my scores low than my hands will be in good condition! haha..

sounds like a plan mok. seriously though, you might want to try gripping a little less tightly. then you can play all the time and get as frustrated as me! :(

one thing that concerns me would be the club slipping out of my hand, has that happen to anyone before? (slipping out by accident! i'm not counting when you throw clubs around! haha)

Yeah, I need the gloves because I get blisters. I even put tape on my palms because the gloves alone don't help... you really think I'm gripping too tightly though Jaydog?
Besides the tan line, it's also stuffy to keep them on. Plus all the guys I play with are pretty anal, and if I need to take time to take my glove off and then put them on again, I might just get a club hitting the back of my head.

Em, you probably are gripping to tight. I used to do that too. However I never got to the point when I got blisters going, but sore enough.
Mok, I launched my club once... pretty far I might add. But it had nothing to do with how tight my grip on the club was. It was because of the type of grip I have... wind grips and the fact it was raining that day.
I forgot to mention this in my last post... blisters can be caused by gripping too hard, but it can also be the type of grip you have. The wind grips are really nice and smooth, however not good to have on a rainy day.

I think you meant Wynn grips, right?
