I switched from graphite irons to steel shafts 4-5 weeks ago and the difference is significant. The clubs I think are similar in quality (Top Flite T2000 graphite vs. Jazz 6020 Steel) , but the difference I've said before is that the steel shafts seem to have none of that fade I was so used to and played previously.
Then again I am playing more then ever and continue to wonder if that is the difference, thus the chicken or egg reference..... Probably will never know or be 100% sure.
Best $100 I ever spent.:D

A chicken and an egg are in bed when the chicken leans back against his pillows and lights up a cigarette.
The egg seems really annoyed and turns to the chicken and says " WELL I GUESS THAT ANSWERS THAT QUESTION" :p
i agree IMO (i know others who disagree:) ) steel are better for feel.

Steel shafts are better for distance control as well as feel.
Distance control doesnt matter with driver or FW woods. But in the irons you're trying to go a certain number, no more ... no less.
Anyone remember those Diawa clubs that came with graphite heads? Theres no way you could tell where on the face you hit them.

My first custom builds had graphite shafts in them to help with a hand probably that was flaring up the summer that I had the clubs built. Nice clubs but.... This year I had the 600xc forgings with a TT dynalite steel shaft. Major improvement in feel and consistency.
