Question for all those Taylormade Junkies out there......

I was into a local Golf Shop a couple days ago going to put in my order for a Taylor Superquad TP when I was informed that the ONLY shaft that comes with the TP is the "Rombax" shaft.

Meanwhile, the Custom Option section of the Taylormade website shows a plethera of golf shafts. So, I called Taylormade and asked if the Rombax was THE ONLY shaft available in the TP, and he said that "yes, the TP only comes with the Rombax, but, you can get the TP Mitsubishi if you wanted which has a softer tip".

So, I'm a little confused...are there ONLY TWO shafts available for the Superquad TP? The Fujikura Rombax TP, and the Mitsubishi Diamana TP?

I dont get why they would do that.....

Somebody please straighten me out a little here.

well from looking at the TM website, for the superquad tp it only shows the RE*AX... in either the 55,65,75....( each one being different tip stiff points)

There must be other shaft alternatives.

A few weeks ago at the course at which I am a member, they pulled out the TM "closet" at our range. It is filled with interchangeable Burner and Superquad heads, both TP and non-TP, of different lofts, and a wide range of different shafts.

After I hit a bunch of balls with every configuration possible, we settled on the combo that worked best for me (which was actually the stock TP shaft).

However, given that TM specifically has this sort of set up, it must be that various shafts are available with the TP head.

TM mandate that all shafts must have TM TP graphics. The Diamana was already done for the old TP line.
