what is BeNi??and why should i buy it?

my husband wants a ping anser 2 berylliumnickel putter badly, i have found two on ebay, they both look the same and have the same patent numbers...but one guy says the other guys is not BeNi because the writing on it is inlaid in white instead of gold??? so ofcourse i am confused and don't know now who has what and how i can tell one from the other:confused: this guy says i know his is BeNi because the writing is gold? geez why can't my husband be happy with a good ol white hot...those i can afford, i found mine at local shop for 50.00!:rolleyes: can anyone help me??please

BeNi = Beryllium Nickel. They will ALL have gold paintfill. Often, they're just called 'nickel' in the header. Be patient and a good deal will crop up ~US$70.
