So my last thread about KZGs got a little out of hand and was subsequently locked. I don't want to start up another dealer/non-dealer argument, I just want to play "show and tell".

Thanks to those who replied in the last thread - you helped me make the decision to get these!

I purchased them off eBay for the final auction price of $113.50 (add $25 to ship them here for a grand total of $138.50). The set is only a 5-PW, but I usually don't hit my 4 iron anyway. I figure I'll round off the set with a 3 and 4 hybrid. The description was a little vague, especially on their condition and my emails were sent a little bit late in the auction to get a response in time. I pulled the trigger anyway and was super pleased to see that there is pratically no wear on these puppies! They're so minty fresh.

Anyway, I do have a couple questions regarding my new sticks. They are currently shafted with Golfer's Edge 400 graphite shafts (regular flex). I can't find a lick of information regarding these shafts. Anybody know anything about these? I think I'll wait until next season to get them "refitted" to me. For now, I'll just play out the rest of the year with the current setup. The other question is regarding how soft forged clubs really are. I've never owned forged irons before so I'm not exactly sure how careful I should be. With my cheap Top Flite sticks, I used to just hack away, even if I was in the woods. No real damage to the heads. Will these clubs get dinged up if I hit a twig or something?

Anyway, check out the pics of my new babies.

Those are some pretty sticks!!!

I can't help you with the shaft question.

But forged irons can get more "character" than some of the cast offerings. The first few dings hurt.. just like a new car!!

Nice irons discomonkey. As far as taking care of them, if you want them to be free of dings from being jostled in the bag then put iron covers on them. Thats what I do. As far as hitting them on the course I don't even think about it unless my ball lands on rocks. Today I was playing a round and my ball landed off the fairway on a lie that had tiny little pebbles all over. I could have easily hit from there but there was no way I was subjecting my forged irons to that.

Anyway, check out the pics of my new babies.Hi discomonkey

KZG stands up real good to hitting a ton of balls. KZG which is billet forged is better than cast forged,
but not as soft ... this is a bonus, as they won't wear as fast.

Boy did you get a great buy on near mint heads > Outstanding Deal!

Thanks for all the replies! I was super surprised at how good of shape these irons were in. I actually took the pic of the 5 iron which (believe it or not) had the most wear!!!

I'm glad to hear that the irons will hold up but I think I'll pick up iron covers to transport them in my regular stand bag and soon will pick up a bag like the Bag Boy Clic-Lok. And I'll probably take more drops than hack my way out of the woods, but it's good to know I can still pull some of my stunts.

Thanks again!

Another suggestion for a bag that keeps irons from hitting each other is the Bennington quite organizer. Its a cart bag style where the irons sit right down in full length pockets and the club head sits in a groove. The one caveat is that the irons are hard to get out of the bag if your riding in a power cart because the bag is sitting up higher. I don't know if this stye comes in a stand bag.

for the rest of the woods to compliment a full set ... in the end, the bag was terrible in design.

It is like the VW commercial. You may feel guilty for the smoking dea you got.

Superb find the bay for those sticks. I have never personally heard of the shafts, but if they perform for, I would change them.

Once you go forged, it is hard to go back to cast.
