Have a look at this persons swing. I think it looks pretty good, but he feels something looks off. What do you think?

I personally don't like the transition from the top of his arch downwards. His lower body looks too active too early to me. Who am I to say though.

Pretty solid swing, a bit square in the feet, would rather see the forward foot open a bit. What's the shot shape like? Slight fade or big push? Seems to hit it pretty high, he may want to go to a different shaft to get a lower trajectory.

He should be shooting some pretty good scores with that swing. Tempo looks good. The ball appeared to be slightly pushed and that is usually better than a pull. What does he think is wrong?

Good posture at address, decent move through the ball. To much weight on his right side at the top. Try "pointing" your knees at the ball instead of transfering your weight. Your left knee should point at the ball at the top of the swing, and your right knee should point at it during the downswing. Also, to get the feeling of not over rotating put a ball under your right foot and try some practice swings and then hit the shot. I betcha his tendencies are push/slice?

THat's what I saw too.

His arms look a bit lazy at address to me. Otherwise, looks pretty good.

The more I see it the more I agree with your point on this.
PS. It looks his nick/signature/this link (because it tells you to search for mygolfster) is advertising for mygolfster.com. Are they/he a sponsor?

IMHO the link to his video is legitimate content and not advertising. If YouTube allows signatures with links to commercial sites, that's up to them.

His screenname and signature are of his own website.
That would be like me having the screenname and signature 'BombSquadGolf'. And posting a link to me swinging a golfclub that says "Don't know what bombsquadgolf is? Do a google search and find out'. Which he has actually done twice now.
If you're going to allow what he's doing now you mid as well let him post his URL because he's essentially doing that already and then just toss the whole idea of sponsorship out the window as it would be a farse.
I'm just trying to look for the the people who pay for sponsorship and recognition on this board.

Bit of a joke trying to be incognito on his part, but essentially he was only asking for confirmation on his swing,so I see no harm since his site can't be misconstrued as highjacking a sponsorship or anything else.
However, not to be so misleading in the future,it would be much simpler for him or anyone else to say"check out my swing" here. http.www.....

Because the guy doesn't care and simply wants us to visit his site mygolfster.com just like those guys that spam the site trying to sell cellphones and crap.

Ansolutely, and ensure that you aren't listing your own personal website in the comments of the video of your swing if you havn't paid the piper to do so.

I checked out the site. It seems its just a free site to register. I couldn't see anywhere on the site where there is a charge or profit business. How is this threatening to the sponsors? I signed up and took the tour. I can't see how this violates any sponsorship rules. I would figure a laid back non confrotational guy like you would give some benefit of the doubt.
I also checked out his posting history. There is no repeat history of trying to peddle something. Just someone participating in conversation. Atleast do some research before starting the witch hunt.

Thanks again for your 'valuable' input guitarman.
If the moderation actually worked the way it should I'm sure you would have received warnings and that is precisely why their is an outcry on this board against the moderation/owners.

Goshawk at least has paid to be a sponsor here, so understandably he can post a link to his golf instruction business. MyGolfster is trying to court the same type of business, albeit with a free signup to his website. For me, if I were to conduct business here or sponsor this site, I'd be a little ticked that this is allowed. Mind you there are several examples of custom golf fitters that work together and that support each other. This guy is taking a free ride and it shouldn't be allowed.

If you look through his post history this is his first post that seems to indirectly point back to his website. There is no URL in his signature. I've seen much worse than this on these boards as far as sponsorship conflicts.

all things said and done ,he is courting the members off-site.
But,you are complicit as well for example ,when in order to clarify a point, you direct to a link outside this forum.

First of all, I would point out that this is not a link to his site - it is a link to a YouTube page. A YouTube page is not a commercial web link - it is a personal web-link (which is allowed on TGN). He is not promoting or advertising anything on it, and it does not have a link on it.
Secondly, even when I go directly to his site I cannot find anything there that is even remotely commercial in nature. There is no solicitation of any kind, no indication of a business being operated - not even banner ads or links to other sites. Everything on the site is free, and there is no upsell or "premium edition" to be found. If $$$ is being exchanged, it isn't apparent from the website.
Lastly, the mere fact that a member works in the golf industry does not mean that everything they post is advertising or promotion for their business. All members talk about things that are important to them - so it is no surprise that clubfitters like to talk about equipment and instructors like to talk about the golf swing. But personally I try to judge the content solely on the words that are written, without assuming that there is some kind of under-handed or sinister motive behind them. Sometimes people are just passionate about what they do.
As a final note, I think I can speak for most of the moderators here in saying that we appreciate it when members bring questionable posts to our attention - but after that please leave it up to us apply the forum rules. This is especially true when it comes to advertising and sponsorship issues - this stuff is for us to work out with the site owners and sponsors.
