Can any one help? I'm trying to uninstall my blackberry software from my pc (Vista is the operating system)...keep getting Error Code 2738 blah blah Could not access VBScript...
tried scouring the net for info, but can't find any; if someone has dealt with this issue successfully, I'd appreciate the info...

thx!

Call RIM or Microsoft...

64 bit?

Sounds like a DLL issue....only workaround for that is to launch RIM's desktop software is on 32 bit. Vista's 64 bit OS has given new users nothing but headaches since it's release.....I'd still give RIM a shout to see if they have a work around.

Welcome to Windows OS, what flavor of Pepto would you like? :D

BlackBerry Desktop Software installation internal error 2738

Microsoft Windows Vista
Unregister and re-register the vbscript.dll file by completing the following steps:

On the computer, click Start > Accessories.
Right-click Command Prompt, and then select Run as Administrator. The Command Administrator Prompt opens.
If you are running a 32-bit version of Windows Vista on your computer, browse to C:\Windows\SysWOW64.
If you are running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista on your computer, browse to C:\Windows\system32.

Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll. The vbscript.dll file is re-registered.
Install the BlackBerry Desktop Software again.

If still not resolved, call your dealer or mobile carrier (Rogers has a good team of BB experts - and no, I don't work for them :D ) as RIM does not support consumer directly (unless you pay for the support)...
