Played Lakeview yesterday and got to walk, which I love..... Problem is I have been spoiled this summer and played top end courses. Lakeview is nice, however showing signs of the dry summer particularly if you are in the rough, some of it dead, and a relatively easy walk. Outside private courses it bothers me to no end how few "A" courses you can walk.
Also LMG I wish had some walking rates with a $10 discount where walking is allowed.

Oh, the 'TorontoHealthNuts' are gonna tell me everything from Copetown Woods to Watsons Glen is "walkable", but I agree Lakeview is one of only a FEW that really are an "EASY" walk, I would also add Silver Lakes to the list.

Pipers Heath is very walkable, although I've never done it.

As far as public course is concerned, I would nominate Royal Ashburn as a great walking course...

Again all good courses, but not A courses per se.... I consider A courses the one's that are rated 4.5 stars or above in the Toronto Life Golf Guide..... Others all worthy courses but just a notch below....
Lakeview was a very good course but not up to the level of the best courses....
Then the Copetowns, Royal Ashburns are a good hike from Central Toronto....

I enjoyed walking Osprey Valley's Heathlands the other wee at the TGN outing. Easy on the feet although my clubs were being carried in a cart hee hee.

Although it's Private, MARKLAND WOODS is an easy-to-walk course
