Don Donatello was the most annoying, but loved wathching him as he had some good game in him.

Same here, snoozeville for sure.
Great to see A-rod get taken out though, nice 3 foot putt. He's a stooge.
It would be great to see Don vs A-rod, although whoever loses should never be allowed on a golf course again, that would be great motivation for them.

+2...guys a great player, but ZERO class on the course and wouldn't be caught dead caddying, or playing a round of golf with him. The "mightier than thou" attitude got the best of him, and his exit from the show is deserved.
It's easy for people to sit here and say "it's boring, they have no game, easy shots" blah, blah, blah. But when push comes to shove, and you are under pressure like that for millions of people to see your boo-boo's and must face heavy scrutiny, hats off to these guys who manned up and had the cajones to chase their dreams and do it on a live TV show.

I caught the rerun last night....
A-Rod missed two make-able putts (one in regulation, the other one in the play off) and got eliminated. He had 2 chances, that is more than most BB contestants.
Given that A-Rod is a character, I am sure they will have some sort of 'play your way back to the show' kind of deal down the road. I am certain he is not done yet.

Yeah, too much love on the show. Reality TV only works if there's bitterness, and we're not getting enough of that. Perhaps the problem is that these guys actually have tour experience, and are maddeningly respectful. It was more fun when everyone hated ARod.
But also, I think the format has worn on me. It's been a long time since watching guys hit a ball into a circle gave me goosebumps. It'd rather see each show end with a match-play elimination. I can always enjoy match or stroke play ... but skills competitions need to be creative in order to sustain interest.

At the end of the elimination, Benoit would be getting ready to walk away, and House would make the surpise move of firing Kevin just for the hell of it.

I think Jerry could become that hated person (not as much as A-Rod). Although this is my first time watching Big Break, what the show needs is a event that some one can screw Hiroshi over. That is what make Survivor so good is that it allows you to screw people over. I think A-Rod would not have hesitated on putting a knife in any one of those guys backs.

That was a major upset. I think he had the better game than the other players. All it took was one bad day of golf to get you kicked out. The finale was ho-hum to say the least. Josh couldn't control his yardages on any hole, not to mention finding the fairway with his drives. Yawn

i don't get the golf channel? They want to find the best golfer, so they have them play a 18-hole match play on a course that only had 2 par 4's over 380yrds in Nevada!! What a joke! I mean even the 425yrd hole was played with a 2i and wedge by Kontak. All this did was show that Brian can control his 2i from the tee, and could hit his wedges good, that's all.
I imagine it was set-up to try and keep Josh in it, knowing that wedges are his forte, but cmon show us some real golf.
Other than that, i can't stand how TGC is afraid of silence, hearing Josh say 400 times how he "knows he has the game to win" almost made me hit the mute button

- These are great golfers
No, they are not, that's why they are not on the tour
- In match play, you always have to expect your opponent to make the putt
No, you don't have to....More than 50% of the time, most people, even the
pros, don't make the long putts. You just have been watching too much Tiger Woods on TV. Een if he or she got lucky one hole, it won't go on for the duration.

They are good players but can't compete or qualify on there own in the PGA or Nation Wide. Far from it I would say but I am not a teacher or seasoned pro.

I believe Hiroshi and the Australian dude were both regular members on the Nationwide Tour. Kontak, Hiroshi and that goof with the Sinatra Hats have all qualified to play PGA tour events on their own. I think Kontak actually finished Top 20 at a PGA event.
These guys from Mesquite are worlds apart better than those guys from BB1. That Moose guy from BB1 was annoying to watch and also a terrible player. Keep in mind that the grand prize from the original BB show was an exemption for the Canadian tour. Players like Kontak (former Canadian tour order of merit winner) wouldn't waste their time with something like that. Also, the other prizes are now way better. They gave away two cars this season and if I remember, Justin Peters got a lease on a cheaper vehicle for a year!
