I prefer the UK edition... less editing. Ramsey is the true celeb chef loads of talent and can handle himself in front of a camera!!

I also think the UK version is much better.

This show to me is like listening to Beethoven while someone claws on a blackborad with their finger nails. There are bits and pieces that is reminiscent of the UK version. But the directing on the show is just so jarring. They cut so much to people interviews that adds nothing to the image shown. In the UK version I felt like I got to know some of the owners and staff, but not this one even though they are interviewed.
Why can't they just let the images speak for themselves.

I am still on the fence about the US one. But I do feel a bit machosadistic.:$

I prefer the UK version as well.

I love to see this man's passion for cooking and for running a restaurant...too bad some people may take it the wrong way. I wish the show would come back to the restaurant after a short time to see how they were doing (just like the UK version).

I only saw bits and pieces of the UK version on FoodTV...

I prefer the US version because it is on HD.

The UK version is better only because of all the F bombs.

Hell's Kitchen is a great show too.

Really? I found it too stressful to keep watching it. God knows there is enough stress during the day. It should be relaxing time at night.:$

The UK Kitchen Nightmares is one of my favourite TV shows period and to see what FOX has done with it, is just sad. Less about the food, more about conflict. Keep the conflict on Hells Kitchen and make it more like the UK version.

The UK Kitchen Nightmares also has a REVISITED version that I dont think they have shown in Canada (I found them on the internet.). They show the original episode and then in addition, Gordon coming two or three years later (in addition to after a month or two later in the original episode). Very interested to see how these restaurants have done years later.

I like many find the uk version more indepth . About the people. Man would I be pissed if I was Gordon to find that I spent all my time and teams energy to turn this dump around , only to have him sell.

the old stone mill, great show tonight to think serving a simple steak dinner could turn this place around ,this is a perfect example of how keeping it simple can make all the difference, this was a good example of how to find what was lacking in this community and capitalizing on a missing food experience :)

I still can not believe they can re-decorate the place in one night no matter how much money they spend.

As for being able to learn to cook and learn to cook steak at high quality using the same kitchen setup is also a big of a tall tale, in my opinion.

Nevertheless, good entertainment.

It looked like he had the equipment already to do steak right. I don't think he was a bad chef, just ambivalent.

I agree...maybe it's recorded within a couple of days. Who pays for all that anyway? The owners are paying in the UK version I think.

ya it was the first time i saw that show, not a bad episode. What i would really like for a show like this is that they save 5 minutes at the end of the episode for a follow up, as this show was probably taped a month or more ago. It would be cool to see if the guy actually changed his ways, or went back to his he was before the show.

You're right. if they show 5 min. follow up would be great finish for each episode. Last night the guy was an idiot. Next big Pizza chain with everything frozen

I hate the bleep thought. Why can't be like the UK version.

guy was definitely delusional...."being unique for unique sakes"

but yes, follow up would be good...I did watch a few of the UK episodes and they do follow ups.

checking out the Sebastian web site, it looks like the menu is still the same jumbled mess (pictures have new decor)...but on one review site, they had it voted as the best pizza in the valley....so maybe he has some fresh items (pizza) and the same "20 flavours" also
