I've never bought golf shoes before but i'm considering buying a pair becuase I've noticed that my feet tend to slip alot. I want to buy online becuase I can save some money however I can't get my foot measured so heres my question:

Are the sizes the same for golf shoes as they are for running shoes, meaning is a 9.5 in running shoes the same size as 9.5 in golf shoes?

Just like running shoes, different brands of golf shoes will fit differently. You really should try them on in person to make sure they fit you.

Yes and No. The sizes are the same but the fit isn't,depending on the make. Before you buy them from the internet try the different makes at a major retailer and see which offers the best fit and above all, comfort. Look for pressure points across the top and the position of the arch support. At least you'll have an idea what model and make you should look for on the net.

Would you buy a regular walking or running shoe on the Internet without trying them on first? I certainly would not so I definitely wouldn't buy golf shoes. I do more walking in my golf shoe than any other shoe! Try them on first and then buy them. They will help your game for sure. Love my Nike's btw but there have been some recent negative reports on this forum about the latest crop of Nike's.

You really need to get in a try some one. Golftown has lots on sale now that even if you don't like at least you have an idea how each brand fits more or less. I would be hesitant to buy footwear online.
