did I mention that this new record will be available for download on a "pay what you want" basis? very interesting that fans have the opportunity to decide how much they think the new record is worth. I think that's pretty cool and very trusting of the band. What do you think?

Radiohead is a cool band...and this is a interesting idea. I guess they've made enough money to. I'll probably download, as I no longer buy cd's...ever since my entire cd collection was ripped off.

They've never been afraid of doing things differently, that's for sure. The pay what you want idea is unusual, but if anyone can pull it off maybe Thom Yorke can. They're an awesome talent, but it seemed like after Ok computer they didn't get a lot of air time anymore. Hardly hear anything from Kid A or Pablo honey but maybe it's different in the UK. Putting out vinyl is an interesting idea. Turntables seem to be trying to make a bit of a comeback, I guess sound quality is cleaner with analogue.

I was watching a quick little video on CNN and the "experts" mentioned that apparently, record sales don't have a heck of a lot to do with revenue for the record company and the band - the real money is made on the tours and swag for sale.
