People laugh at the CFL. I happen to really enjoy it! Any thoughts? Go Argos!

The only thing I really care about in the CFL is the labour day classic between the Ticats and the Argos. I doesn't really matter who wins but the games are always great. I always get out the games in Hamilton. I also like watching CFL cause I know people who play which is always kinda cool. At least around here there has been a massive rise in popularity once the cats got decent again. People actually care and get out to games. This is something this city has needed for a long time. If only we could get rid of all the crack next.
The one thing I don't like about the CFL is that some players don't even make enough to live. At my work there are a couple CFL guys that work part time in the off season because they don't make enough to support their family playing football.

One minute it's 3-3, then you look away and it's something like 24-19!!! :p
Love the CFL. Love the Arrrrrrgos...hate the Ti-Cats, Roughnegades, Alouettes, Bombers, Lions, Eskies, Stampeders, GreenRiders (did I miss anyone?!)...but especially the Ti-Cats!

I was surprised that Pinball didn't put Bishop in given the way that Allen was playing.. especially that one play late when he had at least 40 seconds of unrushed or not being pressured and still couldn't find an open man or make a play.
But I'll give the old wiley vet his due props, he found a way to pull a win out of what looked like a sure loss.
Great game to be in attendance for and my daughter is hooked on the Argos now after getting the chance to run out onto the field after the game and get several of their autographs. For those that didn't know, they allow all of the fans to come on to the field and meet some of the Argos, cheerleaders and mascot after the home games, great marketing and pr move!
Can't wait until the next home game August 1 and the Blue Bombers coming in.

To all those who always jump on the NFL bandwagon or badmouth the CFL, have you ever been to an Argos game? Try it sometimes, you will be pleasantly surprised.
Great entertainment value for your buck. You get to watch the oldest professional sports franchise in North America, enjoy the cheerleaders and the promo squad girls actually come into the stands to cheer the fans on. Season tickets are less than ONE platinum ticket for the Maple Leafs.
After the game you can join the players, cheerleaders and coaches on the field to meet and greet and get autographs. They don't have the big egos that hockey and baseball players have.
Yes, they only pay one player a marquee salary but the rest of the team probably makes less than you. That's why they are so approachable and cater to fans.
Find out who the Argonotes are and why not join the "Friends of the Argos" fan club. (www.argonotes.com (http://www.argonotes.com))
I have been a season ticket holder for some time now and do not regret it one bit. Our cheering section has come back year after year and we are now one big family.
I admit when we had Sherwood Schwartz as an owner, it was trying times but with the new owners, Sokolowski and it has become fun family friendly entertainment.
If you come to the games, there are several tailgate parties before the game. Don't forget to stay afterwards to enjoy the Argonotes (all volunteers) performance. Then go to the bar and enjoy wings and beer with the players, cheerleaders and other fans.
Go Argos!!!!!!!

3 downs makes for an interesting game because it promotes alot of passing, but it's hard to get really excited about a game that rewards a point for a missed field goal, if the other team chooses to not run it back out of the end zone. I wonder how many games have been decided by this single point?

I'm a die hard NFL fan, but my wife is a major Argos fan. I bought her season tickets for this year and she loves it.

I heard the Argos are getting a new stadium up at York U. I didn't realize there was that kind of money flowing into their business. :)

Went to a few games when I was younger with my Argo fan cousin and I must say, its fun. The atmospher sure beats a Jays game and there's a lot more excitement. The best part though are the Argo cheerleaders!!

The York U move has been scraped, I think the when Rogers took over the dome, they made the Argos a deal they couldn't refuse.

I used to be a HUGE NFL fan but over the past 10 years or so, I have become more of a CFL fam. I find that for the most part, the games are more competitive and the CFL has way better championship games. Not those long SuperBORES they have in the NFL
