View Full Version : So you're really PO'd ...... WHY ?

For the two plus years I've been acquainted with this tiny bit of web space I keep seeing time and time again, someone posting about being really PO'd by another person they don't even know.

What gives?

So they play too slow, drink too much, laugh too loud, take too many practice swings, play clubs more expensive then their game requires.... etc etc etc.

Honestly .... who gives a rats' backside? Why let it get to you?

My father, a much wiser man than myself ... (go figure  ) likes to remind me that only those closest to him (meaning family, not the guy sitting in the cart next to him) have the ability to upset him.

At first this theory seems impossible. Why wouldn't I be pi$$ed when someone almost hits me without yelling fore? But after time and practice you'll soon see that a lot of what we get angry about is meaningless.
Sure, it's nice to go online and gripe about junk that bugs us and sometimes it may even help reduce the amount of times it occurs through education.

I've seen guys ready to go to blows over one tee time being before the other. Guys, it's 10 minutes ..... chill out. Is the grass at home so long you won't be able to cut it 10 mins later?

Don't even get me started on road rage. And don't think for a second I'm trying to say follow my example. I'm not the best example here either but ..... I know that some stuff just needs to be let go, and forgotten.

So when some clown from another hole hits your Pro V1 before you even get there just take a deep breath ....... keep in mnd we're at the golf coarse to enjoy ourselves and we all paid good money to do so. :D

This could quite possibly be the best response to 90% of the posts on this forum. Wish I had thought of it.... Probably too busy having sex......

so explain to me what the difference is between someone complaining about slow play and you complaining about their complaining? It still boils down to one person annoyed at what another does... ie pot calling kettle black.

my point being, it's a free country and if someone feels like speaking up about something they don't like, why would it be your perogative to judge who's worthy and who isn't? Everybody dislikes something, somewhere. I happen to dislike seafood. You dislike people with opinions. who cares? As long as it's done in a civilized way why is it of importance to you?

Wow ....... you totally missed the point or I wrote something I didn't intend to. I just thought it would be neat if no one got annoyed.

I liken that to more like the pot calling the porcelain black.

I was alluding to the 'calling for help' and the 'assistance' volunteered to each other :D

BTW, I don't lie, I just get them adjusted 2 degrees flat.
