So I decided to go and check out some GTHL hockey last night as I'm starting reffing soon and wanted to go and watch before I get heckled!!:help: ANyway I went to VIc Village and the Don Mills Flyers were playing. The pee-wee game was about to start and there at the back end of the rink was Tie Dummy. In case you forgot his son was playing last year for the Toronto Marlboro's and Tie made the papers after he lost it on the coach for his kids ice time.

Now....Tie's son was the captain of the team. He played on the power play, killed penalties and had a regular shift. The Marlboro's won their division and the city championships last year. I can only imagine Domi's son was not wanted back, which is very sad for the kid as I am sure he was considered a big part of the team being the captain.:(

So.....this year he has gone from playing for a 1st place team to a cellar dwellar as the Don Mills Flyers are 7th out 8 teams. It is a real shame these kinds of things happen, and one would think a hockey dad who played in the NHL would want to be a positive influence instead of a negative one.

Maybe Tie could fill up the water bottles for the kids considering he doesn't have a job now!!!!:shhh:

Yes.....we were told all about "respect" during our seminar. I reffed in MTHL from early 1990's to 1998 and had an incident like this ONCE in 7 years, and that kid was suspended for the rest of the year.
