Haha, yeah, go rockies, awesome story..
unfortunately, their prize is going to be getting to lose to Boston or Cleveland in the WS. When your 2nd pitcher has an ERA over 4, in the NL, thats not going to bode well for you. Whichever team comes from the AL will feast on that pitching.
And yeah, I know the cards won last year, but the cards rotation was phenomenally good in the post season, and I've seen little to suggest that Colorado's rotation can produce like that.
Either way, Holliday is the centerpiece of my fantasy league outfield (I play in a dynasty league where players are persistant between years) so I cheer for the rocks out of Fantasy loyalty :)

I don't know about the pitchers not being good enough. Out of their 5 pitchers that have at least 4.0 innings pitched in the series vs the Backs, they have a 1.7 era. Who knows, they have won 21 out of the last 22.. you would think they are due to lose a couple, but maybe the Indians/Sox will beat each other up and the Rockies will win.

Pretty hard to argue with 21 wins in 22 games.... Seems like any thing other than a WS win will leave them feeling empty at this point. It is a great story, would be nice to see them win it all.:D

Yeah, 1.7ERA against the Dbacks is NOT a 1.7ERA against either team coming from the AL. dbacks offense is terrible. I mean, Eric Byrnes features prominently, and Odog hit 3rd for them for a lot of games.
Here is what happens, after francis pitches game 1 (in which he will likely get a loss or no-decision to either Beckett or Sabathia) the colorado starters will have trouble going deep into games against Cleveland or Boston. The Colorado bullpen will get used heavily throughout games 2 and 3. That means by game 4, the bullpen will probably be getting tired, and the AL team will start hitting them around, which only makes it worse.
But like i said, my heart is with the rox, but my head says it ain't happening for them. They are just not a good enough team.
But thats why you play, because anything can happen :)
Hey, we live in a world where David Eckstein is a WS MVP :)

The Rockies huh? Do people really care about these small market teams? Probably the same people who care about the CFL.

Not that I care about the CFL (and haven't for years), but no small market teams = no league.
Or would you just have the Yanks and Bosox go at it for 162 games?

The operative word being 'YOUR book'...:$
Yes, in the overall scheme of things, Denver is a small market.
Hockey is not even a major pro sport in the US, don't even go there.
