I find there are too many East-West subway lines...otherwise pretty good idea (most already well known ideas by everyone though)

If Toronto had a subway system like that we'd be such a better city. If only we had the money and the political vision to do this...

You're right no money and too much bull&*^^ in city hall......it would end up well over budget........:hush:

Considering how long and expensive it was to build the almost useless Sheppard extension, this would take 25 years and bankrupt the city.

I would have a direct connection from Downsview to the airport too. And instead of tickets and tokens, it would be a prepaid magnetic card that people would just wave over a detector to get in.

Toronto needs to copy Vancouver transit system...
and integrate all the york/mississauga/Go/TTC transit into one.....and use the zone system instead..
and have a better Transfer system..where transfers are valid for 2 hours, no matter where you are, which direction you go, and which type of transit you are on...

and have electronic machines on board to make sure ppl arn't paying short or using expired transfers

and implement U-Pass system in Universities.......where its a mandatory but extremely cheap transit pass......in BC..its $22/month for students....tho every students has to pay for it....

Are you EVEN FROM TORONTO.... :nono:

it's STEELES, not STEELS
it's EGLINTON, not EGLINGTON (common mistake mind you)
(surprised you got YONGE right!)

The plan looks good to me, although the Queen line is a bit unnecessary (how about a monorail-type route along Lakeshore West instead, looping up to Sherway Gardens?!)...I just don't see them rippin' up underneath the old city?!

I would also add stations on Eglinton West at Caledonia and deleting Royal York
and on Eglinton East, adding a station @ Laird and deleting Leslie.:)

We'll see what a MESS/PRICE INCREASE you'll be STUCK WITH after The Olympics....pray that they don't go over budget!!!

You would need something closer to Laird instead at Leslie on Eglinton IMHO.

But they are great idea. I hope the city starts planning more LRT lines.

Good eye Big Shooter. meh, they're close enough ;) I made these plans from a ride guide, my eyes must be going, gettin' old, probably gonna die soon :)

I followed some of the suggestions from this board and some others, and added a few stations on the Eglinton line, thanks for all the comments and ideas!,

On the topic of golf, has any board member here made their own Golf Course/TTC guide map?

I was born in Toronto, and have lived there occasionally ever since ;)

I've seen some golfers riding the TTC with their bags and gear in tow. I wonder which course they were coming from? I only know of the one at Victoria Park Station - Detonia? Are there other TTC accessible courses?
