With the forecast calling for 16 degree tomorrow...I am looking to get out for the one last time this season with some coworkers.
Does anyone know of any great deal out there for mid- to high-end golf courses?
Looking for something less than one hour drive from downtown Trawnna.
Thanks in advance....

Tarandowah just sent out an email saying their fall rates are $25 right now. With the winds and weather we've had recently I bet it would be quite a humbling round playing there.
FireRock is also $50 with cart, range & taxes on LMG. I played it on Saturday, or at least tried to until we were rained out after 9 holes. My first time there and the course is in amazing shape. Plus, with the recent wet weather, the greens are quite soft and receptive as I've heard they can be a little on the "rock-hard" side of things.

Glen Eagle, M-Th $39, F-Su $46
Woodington $58 everyday
Hockley $55 (includes cart w/ GPS) -- although it was snowing when I drove by there yesterday
Osprey M-F $65, SS $80
I played Woodington yesterday and it was in great shape for this time of year. And the course had 4 groups total when I finished the front!

played Glen Eagle for $50 including cart. Fairways played decent in-spite being aerated some days ago but the greens are perfect. Front nine is routed between the red and yellow and the good holes of the blue and red for the back. Very enjoyable actually.

I'm not quite sure why Lowville has a bad rep on this board. For the price, you get lovely views, a good workout, consistent conditions and some interesting holes. There are a few head-scratchers out there, but what the heck do you want for $20?
