I played this course October 28 2007, I understand the course was closing forever but they should have kept up the condition or at least notify people of the course condition when booking. This is just an example of very poor business standards, along with my group, the 4 in front and the 4 behind we all felt they had an opportunity to go out in style for your last day or you should have shut down the course weeks ago.
Where do I begin
1. No more power carts (which they do not advise you of over the phone)
2. No driving range (which they do not advise you of over the phone)
3. The club house was closed, so snake tea etc...
4. No pencils to mark in the score (Come on that is ridiculous)
5. No signs on the course so you had no idea where you were going (got lost moving around the course as it is not a simple layout).
6. The greens were in terrible shape, many of the holes had HUGE chunks missing right around the cups, it looks like people were hitting full shots off the greens.
7. There was no difference in the fairways and rough as it looks like they let the course go months ago as everything was the same length.
8. No marshals on the entire course so a 9:30am tee off ended at 2:30 on the 12th hole when we decided to pick up our balls and leave.
This was the worst condition course I have ever played on and for the 49.50 regular rate was a waste of money. Why would you charge the regular 49 a player if all the above were missing?
What a disappointment and the owners should be ashamed. Again they should have advised us when booking the course is beat up pretty bad and the greens were unplayable.
You had a chance to go out with class and instead went out in shame, terrible way to close the course down.
I know they probably made a bundle selling the course to the development company and could care less about my email but at least I got my 2 cents across
