Man that is pretty sad......after Round 1 of the Chrysler Championship......Mike Weir is a +4 and Mickelson is a +5.....now they just hope of making the cut for Round 2!.......besides the BCO, Weir and Mickelson have been nowhere in sight for the past few months.......I don't even think golf is longer at the top of their minds at this point!....

that IS pretty bad...for #4 and #8 ranked players...Weir has been nowhere since early in the season, though he did finish top 5 in the British Open and 2nd in the Canadian Open...but Lefty has been in a slump since switching to Callaway...hopefully Weir can turn it around by January...

The season's usually wound down for the top ranked by September. Ryder Cup years, it's prolonged a few weeks. These guys are relaxing with their winnings right now. You gotta have time to spend the $$ too! They really only have 3 months to enjoy the car/boat/plane and the new beachfront home (not to mention family, other "business ventures", and fishing/hunting). I would be checked out if I were them. Remember come January, the new season is on!
About Phil and Callaway, the only part I really do not understand is this ... he made the equipment change which was not minor in any way the week of the Canadian Open, which in itself is as good as any venue to make a change, but literally days before the Ryder Cup. Man, I watched him at the Abbey and his driving was gone! What happens when you change the big dog AND the ball in one shot!

All morning, day, and into the evening on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Had weekly badge. No corporate hospitality tent for me, so I had to sustain myself on hot dogs, pretzels, and Coors light. I don't even want to think about how many of those things I had that week.
Watched at home on Sunday to avoid the crowds, and to get a change in diet. Saturday was bad enough with the swarms of people. Golf starved Canadians ... must be the only non-major, non-big regular tour event stop that draws crowds like that.

haha, I wanted to be at the Sunday final as well esp. after hearing about the Weir/Singh final pairing, but had to settle with seeing it on the boob tube....u definitely would count me out of paying 80 bucks for that day if I was going to watch a Briny Baird/Woody Austin final or something like that! :nono:
