I have not actually tried the Marxman Putting Wedge out on the course yet, but I got such a good deal on it that I figured I'd see if this thing will actually function better than my 7 iron for those short bumps.

Aside from that, the only real changes are the grips and shafts in a few cases. I ended up regripping my whole set with Winn Xi7 grips, so I am excited to play those.

I'll be using the same Infinity irons and wedges, YES putter and Adams woods, but I just picked up two new (used) drivers to test out-- KO and DCT. I know one will be the right driver for me. I've gone 2 years without using a driver for more than range practice and the odd game.

No changes from last year, however I will investigate replacing my R7-450 with a newer Wishon driver (525 GRT@10.5) or the 919THI if I want something a little more high-flight/high moi.

I've also thought of picking up a 515GRT 3wood and swapping out the 4iron in my bag on occassion.

But the priorities this year are continuing to develop my swing and short game, not my equipment.

The only change I'm making for sure is replacing my 58* Sonartec t15 with a new callaway x forged 58* with the C grind. I might change out my 52* as well but the Sonartec t35 I have right now will be hard to knock out of the bag. I'll also be looking at a new drivers, but my Nakashima NP1 460 has been great for me. My Royal Collection woods (13* Type N and 16*, 20* TRC's) aren't going anywhere, and neither are my Ping i3 blades or copper Anser 2 putter... :cool:

I got Sonartec ss 1.5 3 wood over the winter that is going to be making an audition to make my bag...I really liked the NP-99 I picked up last season, so I wanted to give another sonartec a shot.

I also tried out the black gold shaft in my hybrid last season and will be putting the shafts into my irons for this season, felt great in my halo and love the way they look...the dynamic golds that were in my CG2s are going into my back up set of Taylormade 300s...and I'm doing all the work on them myself, which has been pretty fun...

Too many things that I would like to do to try out, but more then likely will stick to what I have and just practice more. Changes that will occur, a new driver or two. Seems to be a thing of mine each year to do so why not add to the collection. Choices will come down to a DCT first and a Nak460 if I can find that. Will probably add a 3 iron hybrid to the bag. Will either be another Wishon 321Li or an Adams Pro Idea.
Last would be to try addingt some weights to my Monza Corza to see how I like that. Its a nice putter!

Not changing much from mid season last year. Burner 10.5 S flex driver, alternate between a Callaway X 3 wood and nickent 3DX 2 hybrid, 3DX 3,4 hybrids, 4-PW Mizuno MP 60 DG-S, 53, 58 MPR Mizuno wedges and my trusty old Baby Ben putter cut down to 33" and regripped.
Having said that my 7 iron which is onl 1 1/2 years old had the head come loose whilst hitting at the waterside dome, sent off to get fixed, hopefully get it back before my cruise as I'm playing Teeth of the Dog in mid Feb.

I have gone back to what I used 15 or so years ago (except driver). Not sure how long the 2 iron (fresh off of Ebay) will stay in the bag. Used to like a 2 iron off the tee. Will concentrate on making my swing more consistent. All the middle-age guys I play with love the old clubs.

The bag is so big that it's hard to get it on a power cart (I use a cart when we use a coupon). Might alternate between the Hogans and the Wilsons.

Can't wait for the season. I have some changes to the bag this year. I will be dropping the 3 & 4 iron this year in favour of Hybrids. Im still not settled on irons though. I picked up a set of CG2's from ebay to try out. The seller had great feedback and the pics of the clubs were very detailed so I'm pretty confident that they are the real deal. Still, I will be sending the 3 iron to Cleveland for verification. With all the CG fakes on ebay these days I would like a little piece of mind. So here is my potential 08 bag:

My goal this year is to use my main bag for 75% of my rounds , and only introduce different and new clubs pasrt of the time
this is to try and lower my handicap from the 6-7 it has been at for a few years to what I used to be ....3-4.

Unfortunately , only playing 2-3 times a month with no time to practice other than before rounds makes this goal a bit tougher but doable.

Sooooo I've got the x forged 58* now... and also picked up a Burner TP driver and a Matrix Code 8 to go in it.. but I can't get the Cobra L4Vx out off my mind.. My Nak head is really heavy (210 grams) but I suspect I might get some better launch conditions and ball speeds from the L4Vx which is heavy in it's own right around 208 grams.. Damn I wish the snow would go so I can play instead of thinking about new gear all the time :cookoo:

Replaced all my irons as per my signature, replaced my 60* black Miura wedge for a satin 60* Miura because I wanted all the same colour:cookoo: , took the 3 iron out and replaced it with 52* Miura wedge.

Cut the driver down a bit, also the 3 wood, easier to come through the ball with more control. I"m going to change my brand new Ping hoofer bag thats in black, I will put it on the BST. Bought 2 more pair of F/Joy Real fits.

Whats else can I buy, oh yeah, bought a new car last night to carry them around in.:D Well off to the BST to sell my brand new Ping Hoofer bag in Black thats only been to the launch about 3 times. :)

Have gone back in time a bit to Cleveland Comp Driver and 3W. Want to find some similar shafts for them, but I have to have my swing analyzed first.

Might ditch my 16* Halo, and look for a reliable 2 iron.

Switched up my gamer NP Beach for the NP Beach 1.5. Some shaft tweaking to be done there as well.

Might knock out the 64* 588, as I think a new 60* will be just as effective and versatile.

Yea that's what I thought but I was just wondering, I haven't herd much about it, as it just came out. I am not the biggest fan of the look on the sole, but hey you don't see that in the swing, and if it works it works. I love last years burner and works very well for me and won't be going no where soon.

Yea many people still speak of the 425 highly as a great club, never had one so I couldn't tell me point of view.

Looks like a total revamp for me. Gone is my trusty Cleveland equipment (for now anyway). I get a package at my new place of employment, and it looks like it has to be from Taylor Made. I'll be ordering the following:

TP MB w/Project X 6.0
RAC TP Z-Groove 52, 56, 60
Monza Spider

We'll see what outperforms what early in the season. For me, it's more about scoring. If the TM stuff outperforms my gamers (particularly the Sonartec FW and hybrid and the 2-ball), then I'll bag them.
