How good is this?
- Tiger and Phil (both won 3 times, so probably will be on late pairings on weekend)
- Will Kelly Tilghman back in the booth?
- Finally, HD golf on TV (well, weekend anyway)
- Preview of the US Open site and a scenic location

It'll be interesting to see how Phil looks this weekend. Last year, he showed up for the beginning of the season noticeably trimmer ... then put some of the weight back on over the course of the year.

This will be a great tournament to watch... I was there last year to see Brandt Snedeker go -11 through 10 holes and to see Tiger win - his fourth and third consecutive!

Both Tiger and Phil have been touting a new fitness regime during the off season. Lets see who wins that one!

Tiger is 4 under currently tied for 3rd after 12 hole. 1 shot behind the leader.
Get out the salami and cheese, the tournament is over, especially when Tiger is close to the lead.
Lefty is one shot behind Tiger.
BTW, Weirsy WD after shooting 4 over after 9 holes.

A Tiger/Phil final pairing on Sunday would be very entertaining, esp to kick off their seasons. Still anyone`s tourny though, a couple shots seperate 1st to 14th. Look who`s in the lead? Rory! Did Weir withdraw due to injury? I hope he just didnt quit cause of his score.

Official word from PGA is he pulled out due to
illness .http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=GOL&id=218

There must be an injury -- 4 over is no reason to quit due to performance. Perhaps his back is giving him problems again. He's WD'd with back problems before.

Weir would never WD because of his score - just thinking so is absurd.

Got a hard-on for Tiger eh? Don't worry, Jack knows Tiger is the best ever too.;)
Nice to see Appleby on the board.

Another golfer worth paying attention to (albeit with sadness) would be Eric Axley, his caddie Steve Duplantis passed on in a car accident on Wed.

Axley was even par for the day.
Tiger went fairly low on the South course. Next 20 guy on the board were on the North course.
Oh ya, Matteson fluked off a low round on the SC too.

Tiger looked good in his first competitive round of the year, but was there a doubt? Phily still in the hunt and not wearing Bearing Point this week? Apparently, the CEO of Bearing Point was either fired or resigned and the new CEO is negotiating a new contract. Phil actually played hatless in the pro-am. Why not put on a Callaway hat? Rory playing well too, he might be there with Tiger on the weekend.

Jon Mills is 2 under and tied for 40. No jinx.
Tiger is 12 under, 4 strokes better than Kevin Streelman (probably dead-man being paired with Tiger on weekend).
If the new cut rule applies, then only 48 people will play on the weekend.

Well there wasn't any doubt he would win this one after his huge lead from Sat. But his 3 bogeys in a row on the back 9 today was surprising. Oh well just further proves that he has no one to step up to his level. If it were another player who had a lead and then made 3 bogeys in a row, I'm sure he/she would have lost the tournament. But not Tiger.
He now has 62 wins on the PGA tour. Another year, another record. ;)
