Anyone excited for hockey???

I don't know about you but with the new CBA and rule changes, I'm starting to get a little excited about the upcoming season. Star players being bought out and left in the free agent market, key signings starting in August and the new rule changes. I hope this season brings some really good hockey. The newspapers say 2 million CAD's are turned off by the lockout but I have a feeling come October, this nation will be buzzing about hockey again. What is everyone's thoughts?
Looks like the Leafs will have some problems. The old guys are too old now and our young guys aren't ready or just plain and simply suck. GO LEAFS GO!

Its been so long - im not sure what to think. As you said once it gets going in Oct. i'll be glued (hopefully) to the set to cheer on the beloved Leafs!

I bet I'll see you at the pubs come April when the city is going crazy with the playoffs. Don't be so negative, the NHL will never go bankrupt. Teams will but not the entire league.

Hey, I love the Leafs and will until the day I die.

My thinking on this is that come hockey season, generally, it's too dark for golf when the games are on and/or, the courses are closed because this is Canada and we have this little thing called snow.
Why does one have to dislike one or the other. I love both. I am psyched to see hockey going again.
Now if we could only get Mr Weir and Ames to get their games going all would be right in the world.

I care more about being able to play hockey fantasy leagues again more than the actually real hockey. Fantasy hockey consumes my life in the winter time and last year was a very long winter. I have always loved hockey and last year was rough for me. I don't care about the new rules and money issues I just want the see the freaking game.

I agree with focker that all the people who say they don't care will be the first ones in line for tickets when the leafs make the playoffs.

I guess it's kinda like the Flyers own the Leafs? ;) In the 'new' NHL I'll take the Sens lineup over the Leafs lineup anyday of the week unless all reports are true and Fergueson has found a way to get Lindros, Murray, Allison, Niedermayer, Aucoin, Khabibulin, Pronger, Forsberg and Naslund in the lineup. All reports indicate they're coming to Toronto. Must be true.
