I am not sure if I like Kerry, but I hate Bush.

It's a darn shame I can't view the latest election results while I'm here at work......but most votes probably won't come until Americans finish their 9-5 hours anyways......
yah by the time you get home from work, the vote counting won't even be closed to finish, don't forget the west coast polls!

I heard it could be days or worse, even a week before we know the results. I heard on 680 News that its a lot more complicated than counting the votes. There are advanced polls, and another poll for people who weren't on the voters list (could be hundreds of thousands) etc. Before they count everything could be a few days. *sigh*
I agree with RidetoGolf. None of them are any good but Bush just seems like he's more of a pr*ck than Kerry.

Why is the poll closed?
I believe Mr. Singh set a specific time frame for the poll to close when he first set it up......
So I heard this morning that Ohio is the battleground state....the "Florida" of the 2000 election.....but, I think it's pretty clear that Bush has won again....he has a 140,000 vote lead in that state and it doesn't matter if there are still 250,000 votes left to count, statistically, it's virtually impossible for Kerry to make that much ground where the popular vote margin is about 50/50.

wow stats master. did u figure that out off hand or did u enter the calculations in your stats calculater? :D
actually they were saying this a lot on a lot of the TV channels, CNN was the one of the only ones that refused to give the state to Bush...***i think they favour the democrats haha...

wow stats master. did u figure that out off hand or did u enter the calculations in your stats calculater? :DNo need to hear it on tv or use calculator....it's actually quite simple stats....the error of margin for the polls at most is between +/- 5%.......so even if there were 1,000,000 uncounted votes left, Kerry would still lose....:)

Its weird how most people I spoke to who are not Americans think Bush is the biggest pr*ck and want Kerry to win...but in America, Bush has tons of supporters...obviously now, with the votes in and the election over...I'm just disappointed with the results...it wasn't even close!!

Who was that Liberal MP, Paris? who said the US is out of step with the world... sounds like it's true.
I'm like Ridetogolf, I don't really like Kerry, but I definitely don't like Bush. What's done is done, can just hope that things would improve, even with Bush.

it's true and most young people in america voted democrats like how a lot of young people in canada voted for the NDP....
a lot of the voters that support bush didn't vote for bush himself but his republican party and what it stands for.

namely the moral issues. that's what won the vote for bush. talk about prudes. rather have a crazy gun toting guy as long as he supports the "traditional" family.

I myself can't believe that Bush got re-elected. I think he's a lousy Pres. But what's done is done. So what do you think that will mean for Canada's dollar? hmm maybe I should start another thread on this...
