Adam Scott - shoots 61 and wins Qator

Looks like Adam Scott fell victim to Tiger`s butt kicking at the Buick and was overshadowed. Just incase you missed it, Scott cameback from 3 shots down in the final round and shot 61 and even flirted with 59 to win the Qator Open on the weekend. Great to see him play well as I`ve been disappointed that Scott hasnt been able to really challenge Tiger as one of the "young guns". I want to see him win a Major this year and maybe 2 PGA victories.

He can easily do this in my opinion. Maybe the key will be him dealing with not improving last year in a psoitive manner adn building on it. If he can accept it and move on, he will win.

He missed the shot putt on 16 and failed to make birdie, then he laid up on 18 and eliminate the opportunity to make eagle to shoot 59. Then again, winning the tournament is more important than to shoot 59.

The Qatar Masters was the most entertaining golf on TV this weekend, in my opinion -- it's a shame the European Tour has to air in the early mornings our time -- most people aren't in the mood for watching golf that early. But missing the European events means missing some great golfers, and this weekend presented good golf from a pretty good field.

Though personally, I'm sick of tournaments calling themselves the <insert name here> Masters. But that's just one of a million things on this planet that make me cranky.

I would agree some amazing golfers out there coming from Europe and the commentary is so much better than here. At least they are professional and stick to golf and not go into their views or all the crap they talk about in N.America. Anyway, good to tape sometimes this event was good. Probably a lot better than the Buick which I hardly watched.:confused:

In the poll of who would win a major outside of TW, I said Adam Scott would do it. He has the talent and mental toughness. It all depends on his putting. But then again, TW seems determined to win all 4 ! ;)

Adam is a great player. The best of the young guns... Hopefully this 61 carries over on his play on the PGA tour.
