Super Bowl, Saturday Night?

Why don't they play the Super Bowl on Saturday night instead of Sunday? Tradition? There would be a lot less people calling in sick on Monday morning. :D

I've been thinking the same thing. Would be huge for bars.
Who wants to be out drinking on a Sunday night until 10pm... not me.

Why? Because that is one more day for the Superbowl businesses/merchants to cash in....

I don't think there's any motivation for the NFL to change it to Saturday. It wouldn't increase their revenues to do so. It's doubtful that playing the game on any other day of the week would impact their TV audience whatsoever.

I don't imagine they give a damn about people having to be out late on a Sunday, either.
