Sure. Why not close with a 65?!
And break Ernie's confidence at the same time!
Gee thanks a LOT for spoiling the results in the title of the thread!
Did you ever think that some people wanted to watch it this morning

Sorry.
It was all over the news this morning, and I must admit that I never thought my posting would spoil it for anyone.
If I knew how to delete the thread, I would.

LOL, I love his post round interview. Tiger was asked what makes him so dominant seeing that the margin between world's no.1 and Phil Mickelson's 2nd is greater than 2nd and 1000th. Tiger's jest "Oh, I thought Poulter was second?!" ZING!

Was looking fwd to the playoff between Tiger and Ernie. Very surprised Ernie put his 5-wood 2nd shot into the drink. Ball was sitting nicely in the 1st cut. Must have been the wind. Tough luck on Ernie. Great closing back 9 by Tiger.

One of the few aspects of TIgers game that anyone could say was weak was his record when not leading going into SUnday. Well....it looks like he has that figured out now too. THe only way Tiger will lose from now on IMO is if he doesn't play well because if he plays even half decently he wins.

Let me say this was worse, this is just a sporting event come & gone all over the radio ect....
Belly Hungary going on the Dexter TV link and saying " I cant believe they actually killed so & so, on the final episode. Within a day or so of its viewing.
Kinda like the people who come out of a theater as people are going in and voicing the movies end ,aloud.
All be it, aren't sporting events traditionally watched Live?
Did you guys see TIGER yell at the photographer.

No, I wasn't joking. My point about the thread is that it would have been nice if the outcome of the tournament WASN'T in the friggin' title of the post.
There's nothing wrong with discussing it inside the thread but putting the results in the title was disappointing. It was changed after and had the word "spoiler" in the title - which was fine.
You making fun of me by posting "boohoo" was pretty immature - something I'd expect to hear from an 8 year old... But, I'm an adult and can take it.
Umm, this is a golf forum isn't it? Should we wait for you to say when it's ok?
I never said anyone should wait for my say so. As I said above, putting the word "spoiler" in the title WITHOUT revealing the results would have been sufficient.
Why can some people not understand this concept???

1. It wasn't my intent.
2. I apologized previously.
3. Notwithstanding my own views as to this issue and the associated questions that it raises (eg. when is it appropriate to refer publically on a golf forum to information that is already in the public domain?), I understand the views of some others. This sort of "disclosure" (re-disclosure? disclosure redux?) will be avoided in the future.

No big deal. I wouldn't worry about it. Every body makes mistakes. Now we move on. Some people just can't let things go.

Don't worry about it, whack. I know you just wanted to inform members and start conversations. No big deal, really! I would just say it is probably best not to put the result in the title, then members can choose to click on it or not.

Don't worry about it, 3whack. The outcome was spoiled for me, but I was ticked at myself for going to a golf discussion board while watching an event that I knew had already concluded.
Fortunately, there were TWO great finishes in golf yesterday. The second was in HD ... so if one result was going to be spoiled, at least it was the right one.

The second event ended the way I wished the first one had. I had really hoped that Ernie would have come back to make for an interesting playoff.

No need to apologize, to me anyway. I realized, at the time, that you more than likely did it in error and it seems as though you fixed it as quickly as you could.
My only problem was with the insults thrown my way - which were unnecessary and uncalled for and immature.
And guitarman, really Terry you're the last one that should comment on what people should "let go"
