Anybody ever been to the Phoenix Open ?
It looks like lot's of fun this week, can't believe the noise on 16, Phil missed two sots in a row yesterday, 9-iron tee shot and then the chip. Looked like the crowd there messed him up.

#16 is becoming "old" :(
...it was GREAT 10 years ago when Tiger put it on the map.

The 16 probably isn't for everyone. It's not really a "golf" crowd there -- it's a bunch of partying university students having a good time. I'm not a fan of it myself, but it can be fun to watch once a year.
Did anyone see Phil's caddy give the kid and his dad Superbowl tickets? A nice gesture ... though it did seem a little staged. Phil was asked about it afterwards, and said, "How did you hear about that?" Well, Phil, we had a freakin' camera two feet away from Bones. Ya think we were on to you? I don't think the giveaway was a stunt -- just the feigned ignorance.

Yup he's as phony as a $3 bill and that's why he's not a popular guy in the locker room.

The FBR is a fun event. True indeed, its not really a purist golf crowd - there are lots of people there "to be seen." Lots of people go because its something to do and a place to go. Get away from all the junk, its a good tournament and fun to experience.

I'm sure Poulter & Sabbatini like him!:eek:

With the playoff, and possiblity he might have won, I don't think HE would have made it across town to the game! (I think that's why a lot of people left before the playoff, so they could get home/to the game/to a bar) for kickoff!

I actually felt sorry for J.B. and the others in his group -- they would have come to 16 expecting the circus, and seen empty stands. An "all right, less pressure ... but what are we, dog meat?" moment.
