Ted Forstmann, WHO'S YOUR CADDY....
...why it's Natalie Gulbis!!!

And a poor caddy she is....she allowed her player to hit the wrong ball on one hole. Who cares though, she's good looking and Forstmann is a brutally bad player.

Why is she doing this?

Ted is Chairman at IMG and Natalie recently ended her relationship with Octagon and signed with IMG They've know each other for a few years and talked about doing this, but only this year did schedules work out. Here's some background info on him:

Ted Forstmann is Chairman and CEO of IMG and the senior founding partner of the pre-eminent leveraged buyout firm, Forstmann Little & Co.

LOL, I heard Faldo or one of the commentators mention that it costs upwards of 10K to play the pro-am.

Nice tax write-off!!

LOL, or one very expensive round of golf!

Got to admit though, while I've got a bad case of cabin fever and usually golf starved enough to watch almost anything golf related. I'm getting bored watching a bunch of celebrities hack it around a golf course on TV. ARGH!

I actually like this tourney as much as anything other. The aspect of watching the celebrities doesn't hurt as I like watching people who suck as much as I do.

i also watch, but i wish they would show more of the pga players, it's nice to see the stars but most of them are terrible golfers, if it wasn't at pebble beach and in hd i am sure i would not be watching it ! how many times can you watch george lopez, etc with their horrible swings hit a ball ?

i see vj is now 1 off the lead, i dont think they showed him once on the coverage - whats up with that ! if i want to watch hackers i can go to any course and see them everywhere, and if i want to watch movies stars i can watch the awards shows, i dont know about you guys but i dont like this format, chris

He shot an 11 because he missed the putt for a 10. :)

On the par 5 -14th Phil tried to cut the corner and was left in a tight spot. He put his next two shots either out of bounds or in unplayable lies and it was all downhill from there.

Not that he has a chance of winning today, but Mike Weir won't only be playing FOR Canada, he'll be playing WITH Kanada!!! :D

I cant believe it!! VJ what happened??? I thought this one was in the bag and then 3 straight bogeys down the stretch!! Incase you missed it, VJ had a 3 stroke lead at the 14th hole and bogeyed 14, 15 and 16. Lowery birdied 17 to take a one stroke lead and VJ birdied 18 to force a playoff. VJ then scrambled to make a great par save and Lowery had a text book tee to green birdie to win in the first playoff hole. I was pretty disappointed to see VJ lose like this but Lowery also played a great round and make some big shots down the stretch. Congrats to both for a great finish.

I'm with you, Singh. Here I am, thinking 'good for Vijay, it's been a while'. Then he started leaking oil on 14 and the wheels came off at 16.

Lowery, however, had a fantastic stretch of golf (if you ignore the pair of dubs).

This was an interesting tourney......we watched Pernice "lay the sod of it" Phil do what Phil doesn't best try to be a hero and make an 11. Vijay top one out of a bunker.....and Vijay and Lowery miss there tee ball on 18 into a bunker that I've never seen anybody in.

Congrats to Jason Day on his first top 5. His first tourney MC, second t-40, third t-24 and now and 4th. Number 5 looks like first or second.

Lets hope Riviera provides some better golf.

It was nice to finally see the pros on Sunday. The pros barely got any airtime at all on Thursday through Saturday, and it was maddening. Until we got to Sunday, I had no idea that you could make a putt that didn't go ten feet past the hole. I'm going to try that some day.

...and Dustin Johnson, T-7, has played extremely well since his T-14 @ Q-school....not too shabby for the Coastal Carolina grad...the College that you drive past on the way into Myrtle Beach! :)

He's had that "journeyman/grinder" face (think: Tom Kite?!) as long as I can remember him on tour...and when you have the kinda finishes he had the year Beemer won the PGA, it don't get any easier!

I was actually at Pebble Beach on the 3rd round and spent time trying to find Phil. It just so happened that the first and only hole that I watched Phil was the 14th, so I can provide some entertaining insight to your question.

- He yanked his tee shot right into some long rough and had a very long second shot in.
- Decided to try and hit 3 wood from what looked like a nasty lie.
- He proceeded to pull hook this 3 wood into the backyard of a 20 million dollar home.
- His caddy (very quick on the draw) quickly fired him another ball, which he dropped and decided to hit the 3 wood again. A little straighter, slight draw, but still hit a tree and bounced into this same backyard.
- Then he dropped again, swinging 6, and hit a lay-up to maybe 100 yards
- 5 shots to get down from 100 yards for our favorite short-game wizard = Snowman plus 3...or 11...

sean_ali -that must have been cool to see Phil

Always seems like a bad idea to try and hit a 3-wood out of a bad lie in the rough, I thought Phil was getting smarter these days

I didn't get to see it on tv

On of the problems the AT&T has is coverage - its really hard to get good coverage of the action at Spyglass and Poppy Hills. Those courses are tougher than Pebble and there is some really good golf to be seen on them. Being at the tournament is much better.
