My wife has her own company operating out of our home, located in Hamilton, and she needs some IT technical support. Here are her needs. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know

About Us:

One-person company, established 7 years
Product is career coaching for IT, engineering, new media and executives
Online packaged product marketer now, no longer a brick and mortar office
Expansion via e-commerce is planned
Located Hamilton ON and on the web

We run:

Windows XP
Wireless Network
Salesforce.com (may return to ACT 6.0)
AVG virus protection
An e-commerce website is programmed and launches soon

Services Required:

Tech support for 1 laptop and our data
Remote backups nightly
Monthly maintenance – MS auto updates is kept turned off for MITS to first evaluate bugs in patches/new releases
Website maintenance
(optional - able to assume web hosting after current provider contract ends)

Selection Criteria:

Response time
Reasonable fee
Mix of large and small clients
Professional communication
Permanent/established - not a temporary flyer-on-lampposts service!

From my past 25 years at IBM, your timelines are a little too tight. If someone is to do a proper job, they need to meet with your wife to get a better understanding of her needs, transaction volumes etc. Also, make sure you get plenty of references and call them.
