Can you play golf both right handed and left handed. Curious to know if others here can or have tried. I am a Righty but I putt Left. Last year out of curiosity I played a back nine left handed for the first time and shot a 43 (Deer Creek), not too far off my righty game .

I find the driving is the hardest part. I actually chipped in from about 50 feet during that back nine. I played with a guy last year who played right but drove left, now that was strange. The guy hit a good ball too.

Interested to hear a few stories.

I can't but my brother plays equally bad from either side.

I can switch-hit a softball bat pretty well, hit home runs either way. Practiced as a kid.

Swinging left golf not nearly as good but reasonable, have switched a right-handed wedge around and knocked the ball 60-100 yards during play. Wouldn't attempt to play a whole 9 though.

I tried it last summer when I was playing with a lefty friend. We each tried one shot wiht the other's 7 iron. It did not work for either one of us.

I can't but my lefty friend can. I was hitting shanky type shots and in frustration said "You could probably hit my right handed clubs better than I can.
Curious, he took my 7 iron and hit it almost onto the green 150 yards away. Not only that the shot had to go between water and a tree at deerfield. He was pleased, I was crushed. Slinked my way thru a bad round.
