Was watching Cink's comments today about how he is a golf fan and will enjoy a front row seat watching Tiger today. Seemed like he already conceded or maybe he was trying to calm the Tiger...

Remembering Woody Austin's and Rory's comments last year where they belittled Tiger.

If you were playing Tiger head to head, what would you say? How would you play him? Which approach would work best? I think you would have to come up with something he hasn't seen before, not sure what that would be, maybe dressing in a kilt or something, playing really slow, talking to him constantly, ...

i think players get to caught up with Tiger and what Tiger is doing.... just play your own game... look at Baddely! He almost took Tiger out, being down 2 o3 after 4 holes most players, just coast and concede... but Baddely battled and was very close to take him out!

Play your own game.... I would play the course, not even look at him or watch what he does.. that is what he does most of them time... when other's are playing he rarely watches them play, maybe out.. but when the hit their iron shots or drives he's usually talking to Stevie.. etc...

I think you're on to something with the kilt. If you wear it in the traditional way, he might get rattled by the view every time you bend over to get your ball out of the hole. Hell, he might even concede after a few holes.

easier said than done to play your own game....even Cink admitted on tv that he would get side-tracked by tiger and his hoopla, but who wouldn't....

i love the kilt idea too....just hope montgomery, daly, or herron don't jump on that angle too quickly.....

I think if someone can take it to him early, you will see how ill equipped he is to deal with it. other than throwing clubs, stevie breaking cameras etc. wait and see, hopefully someone will emerge from the crowd to take him down....perhaps michelle wie LOL

I think that sounds like Cink was conceeding that Tiger is better than him. I know its true, but i think its near impossible to actually believe that then try and beat him.

The only thing you can do is do what you always do, i mean if these guys are the best in the world, the have something that works for them in most rounds, you can't do something drastic at all. I mean if you are doing something to throw Tiger off his game, you will be thrown off yours as well... with both off their game i would take Tigers!

I think you just have to believe that if you execute the way you know you can, you have to think that it will be good enough to beat Tiger that day, simply put. Harder to do than say i understand, but if you are going into a head-to-head match saying "I am going to enjoy a front row seat to Tiger" than you are defeated before you start unless Tiger gets injured and can't continue. Unfortunately for rivalries in golf, we are hearing FAR too many Cink-like comments and not enough Rory-type comments... I mean you are not just hearing them from guys outside the top 50, but guys like Phil, Ernie etc. say them as well, kinda shows their mental side of the game.

I would put my money on the 53rd player in the world who believes he can win anyday over the 2nd player in the world who says "I can't wait to watch Tiger today!!"

I'd call him "Eldrick" and ask for his autograph. Then I'd walk up the fairway with him and tell crude jokes. Then I'd ask him for his autograph on the second tee, saying it's for my grandma, who's a huge fan. Then when Steve starts telling me to back off and leave Tiger alone, I'd tell Tiger that Steve has photoshopped nude images of Elin in his pocket. Then I'd have Steve empty his pockets to prove me right (my caddie will have slipped them in there). Then I'd keep telling crude jokes. Then I'd ask Tiger for his autograph at the third tee.

Then, everytime I hit a bad shot, I'd throw a temper tantrum. And everytime I made a birdie, I'd jump up and down and scream, "who da man?" Then I'd bug Tiger some more. Then I'd tell Tiger that Steve is so mad that Tiger found out about the Elin pictures that he was talking about telling people that Tiger's on HGH. Then I'd offer to switch caddies, saying that clearly, Steve can't be trusted, and he never should have parted with Fluff. Then I'd ask Tiger if he's the next Michelle Wie.

Then we'd finish our round and I'd find that none of that made any difference because I lost by 15 strokes.

I hope we can turn back the clock and bring back Seve Ballestero at his prime to rattle Tiger with his well-documented antics.

You knew after the first round and he said in his interview how amazing he is and how just playing with him to watch him play up close is so awesome. Shouldn't you be worried about what your going to do not be there to watch Tiger. Sure he is great and sure he is amazing to watch but when your playing you need to have the attitude I am going to beat him he is just playing the game that I'm playing and anyone can win. You have to think you can beat him or you never will. These guys go in there I'm thinking ohh man how am I going to beat him. Play better, concentrate better he makes mistakes as we saw and Cink screwed up so many shots you could see he wasn't in the frame of mind. One day maybe more so and there have been times in the past when the guy went in to win no matter who they were playing. The media has all these guys even believing they can't do, we all play we all can beat one guy or another at different times I believe they are good enough so prove it and stop watching Tiger or thinking I can't do it you won't.

Those tactics won't work anymore not even on Sergio Garcia! and he's really soft :)

Let's face it the only way to beat Tiger is on a day when he's a) not playing well, or b) not playing at all. he's getting close to perfection. I mean the only 'flaw' in his game is hitting the fairway with his BFC. And he's showing signs of finding a way onto the short grass. That's when things get scary.
